- Isaac Clyde Mozingo, 77, died Monday following a brief illness. Mr. Mozingo was the son of the late John W. and Mattie Mozingo of Princeton. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1937 and received a B.S. degree from Wake Forest University in 1941. He was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Education with a major in Administration and minor in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina in 1948. He completed a two-year graduate program in Educational Administration at UNC in 1961 and did advanced study at the University of Colorado and Duke University.

Mr. Mozingo taught at Saratoga High School for one year, Henderson High School for one year, and New Hanover High School in Wilmington for three years before becoming principal of Pine Level School in 1949. He was principal of Pine Level School for 15 years. He then became high school supervisor for the Johnston County Schools - a position he held for 25 years.

Mr. Mozingo was a member of the Principal's Division of the North Carolina Association of Educators and a life member of the National Education Association. He was past president of the Johnston County School Masters Association. He was a member of the Pine Level American Legion Post, Princeton Masonic Lodge, the Sudan Temple, and past president of the Pine Level Lion's Club.

Mr. Mozingo was a very active member of the Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a member and former chairman of the church's board of deacons, and teacher of the Baraca-Berean men's Sunday School class for the past 47 years.

Funeral service will be held Wed. at 2 p.m. in the Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the Oliver Cemetery.

Surviving are: his wife, Bertha Mae Godwin Mozingo; brothers, Roy Mozingo and Ernest Mozingo, both of Kenly and Paul Mozingo of Lucama; sisters, Audrey and Rose Worley of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Bertha G. Mozingo, 90

Bertha Godwin Mozingo, 90, of 1306 U.S. 70-A, Pine Level, died Saturday, May 17, after a short illness.
Born March 22, 1918, in Johnston County, Mrs. Mozingo was a daughter of the late Leslie Earl and Annie Mae Edgerton Godwin. She was the widow of Isaac Clyde Mozingo. Mrs. Mozingo was a lifetime member of Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church and a charter member of the Pine Level Woman�s Club. She worked as the bookkeeper for Godwin�s Super Market.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, at Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Dannie Hayes will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oliver Cemetery.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. today (Sunday, May 18) at Parrish Funeral home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma.
