- Pauline Mozingo died Sat., Feb. 28, 1998, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.

She was born May 15, 1913, Lenoir County, and was a daughter of the late John and Betty Carter of Kinston. She was a member of Faro Chapel PFWB Church and a resident of Rose Vista of Goldsboro.

Mrs. Mozingo was preceded in death by her husband, Willie; daughter, Margaret Overman of Fremont; grandchildren, Linwood Earl Gurley and Pat Teachey; great-grandchildren, Eric Ezzell and David Avery Overman.

Funeral, Tues., 11 a.m. Shackleford Funeral Chapel, Fremont. Interment, Pikeville Cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Ruby Gurley of Goldsboro, Dorothy Langston of Stantonsburg, Louise and her husband, E.C. Bissette, of Pikeville, Joann and her husband, Willie Teachey, of Pikeville, Jean and her husband, Hugh Martin, of Nipoma, CA; son, Kenneth Mozingo and his wife, Tina, of Elm City; 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home today 7-8:30 p.m., and other times at the home of Willie and JoAnn Teachey, 202 S. Mill St., Pikeville
