Palak Dal ( Vegetarian Recipes / Indian Recipes )
Ingredients:
250 g green gram split (mung dal)
200 g chopped spinach
5 cloves
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp ghee
50 g chopped onions
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 dried red chilli
1 clove garlic
25 g chopped coriander for garnishing
Method:
Soak dal for an hour, drain and boil with turmeric and chilli powders. Add spinach and adjust seasoning. Boil till spinach is cooked.
Heat ghee in a pan and add cloves, garlic, onion, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds and red chillies. Saute it all together till golden brown. Drizzle this all over the dal and mix. Garnish with coriander and serve.
