"Who is it" Jennifer yelled as she stretched and made her way towards the door.
"Alyssa" she called from outside
"Hey girl...have fun last night" Jennifer said with a curious smile.
"Yeah, dinner was great" Alyssa said with smile
"Ah, and I suppose that dessert was even better" Jennifer teased her friend
"Hey, how did you know?" Alyssa asked innocently
"Dont forget, our room is next to yours" Jennifer said laughing
"Oh sorry, I didnt realize we were loud" Alyssa said apologetically
"Its ok, I was too tired to care" Jennifer replied. "So...is he good?" she asked curiously
"Wow Jennifer, I've never seem this side of you" Alyssa teased. "Hell yeah!" she said answering her question. "What about Nick, I know you 2 have had to have done it by now" Alyssa questioned
"We havent" Jennifer replied firmly
"What? I dont believe you" Alyssa said
"Well believe it" Jennifer said quickly
"Dont you want him by now? I couldnt even make it one night" Alyssa said laughing at her own craziness
"Sure I want him, but I dont want any emotional ordeals that go along with having sex" Jennifer said as someone else began to knock on the door
Jennifer answered the door to see Nick holding a dozen red roses.
"Oh how sweet" she said hugging him and kissing his lips sweetly, just enough to make him want more.
"Well if I get all that for 12 lousy roses, what do I get for a diamond necklace" Nick teased
"I dont know, why dont you buy me one and find out" she said with a sexy smile.
"Well, I hate to interrupt, but I better go" Alyssa said, pushing past the lovers.
"See ya later" Jennifer yelled down the hall.
She turned back to Nick and pulled him inside.
"Help me decide what to wear today" she told him
"Do I get to watch you put it on?" Nick asked coyly
Jennifer shot him a look. "Maybe" she replied with a teasing smile.
"What is on your agenda today" he asked, trying to sound like an intelligent stylist.
"Your such a dork Nick. I have to meet with Kyle Roberts, who is going to direct the video for 'Give It To Me'" she said
"Good director" Nick continued. "Well, since its fall, I would go with pastel colors, probably a blue to accent your dark eyes" he said, still pretending to be a fashion expert.
Jennifer started laughing at how silly he was. She began to tickle him in an effort to make him laugh. He couldnt hold it in anymore. Before they knew what was happened, Nick had Jennifer pinned to the floor and he was tickling her all over. She was enjoying every minute, as was Nick.
"Nick, get off me" she yelled in between laughs.
"Never" he said as he continued.
"Nick the door" she said as she managed to get out of his hold.
She ran to get the door.
"Oh, hi James" she said after opening the door
"I was just making sure you were up and getting ready. I'll see you in the lobby in 45 minutes" he said to her.
"Ok" she said as she closed the door.
"See Nick, 45 minutes, and I still have to take a shower. Now what should I wear?" she said looking at how silly he looked sitting on the ground by her closet.
Together they picked out a nice black mid-length skirt and a red shirt that tied in the back. She took the outfit, closed the bathroom door and turned the shower on. She knew Nick was waiting outside on her bed. Part of her wanted to grab him and pull him into the steamy bathroom, but she knew it wouldnt be good in the long run.
Meawhile...
"Are you sure your ok?" Brian asked as he leaned over Caitlyn who appeared very pale that morning.
"I'm fine" she replied, even though she knew she wasnt. She didnt want to let anyone down by being sick.
"I'm going to take your temperature" Brian said confidentaly as he went to find a thermometer.
"No Brian" she called, but it was too late, he had left the room.
10 minutes later Brian came back with not only a thermometer, but also with a warm bowl of chicken noodle soup. He took her temperature.
"See, you do have a fever" he said as he handed her a glass of water and 2 tylenol. She was glad that Brian cared so much about her.
"Thanks" she said as she swallowed the pills.
"Anytime. Now heres some soup" he said placing the tray on her bed. He fed her the bowl, spoon by spoon.
Later that day...
"So whats the concept of the video going to be?" Nick asked curiously when Jennifer returned
"Well, since its an upbeat song, what we're going to do is have me like shopping during the day for a small part of the video, then it will be me getting ready and the whole last half of the video will be shot at a club where I am supposed to be dancing with some guy and stuff. Its kind of hard to explain" she said
"Lucky guy" Nick said sarcastically
"Well smartass, since the video has to be filmed on one of our days off, we were going to ask you to be the guy, since apparently everyone will know we're dating the next week."
"Really?" he said enthusiastically
"Yeah" she said smiling
"This is going to be a great video!" he said as he grabbed her in his arms.
Meanwhile...
Brian had stayed by Caitlyn's side practically all day.
"Oh my gosh, I'm going to be sick" she said as she jumped out of bed and ran towards the bathroom.
Brian was right behind her. She kneeled by the toilet and he held her hair out of her face. He wished so badly he could make her better. He didnt like to see her in this condition.
He helped her back into the bed. She smiled at him as she layed down and began to fall asleep. She felt safe knowing he was by her side.
Brian left the sleeping Caitlyn a while later to get ready for the show that night.
At the venue...
"Where the hell is Caitlyn and Sarah" James demanded, sounding worried
"Caitlyn is really really sick" Brian said quickly
"And I got a note from Sarah yesterday saying she would be here tonight" Alyssa added
"Well that means nothing since shes not here" James said, now very stressed that 2 of his dancers were not going to be performing. "We have 2 options, Jennifer, you go with no dancers and explain to the crowd what happened, or you and Alyssa go alone" he said
"Well I'd like to have someone onstage with me, so I guess Alyssa comes, if thats ok" Jennifer replied
"Yeah thats fine" Alyssa told her
The 2 went onstage and performed as well as they could. When they were done they ran into James.
"Sarahs off the tour" he said angrily
"What?" Jennifer replied in shock
"She called my phone and said she quit. Something about a guy she knew named Justin" he said
"Oh, her ex" Jennifer said in disbelief
"Well, its just Caitlyn and Alyssa until we get a replacement trained" he said as he turned and walked away.
Alyssa and Jennifer went and watched the rest of the Backstreet show before meeting the guys backstage.
