"Brian, hurry up!" Caitlyn yelled into the bathroom. "We're going to be late" she insisted.
"Relax, we wont be late" he yelled back.
She sat down on the bed. Her long blonde was curled into perfect little ringlets. She had on a satin black fitted dress. Brian finally emerged from the bathroom. When he caught sight of her, he froze.
"Damn" he said as she stood up.
Caitlyn smiled delicately. "Yes?" she asked, walked towards Brian.
"You sure you dont just want to skip the show?" he asked, partially joking and partially serious.
"No, we made a deal" she insisted as she grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door.
Meanwhile...
When AJ finally got back to the hotel, he was greeted by several fans. Great he thought. If I dont sign autographs, they'll get pissed and say I'm rude, and if I do stop, then they might have to carry me upstairs. His conscience won. He faked a smile and took off as soon as he signed the last one.
He got on the elevator and was greeted by a familiar face.
"Hey man, whats up?"
It was JC from 'NSync.
"Hey" he said, trying to be as friendly as someone with no sleep could be.
"You look tired" JC concluded
"Yeah, no sleep. Girlfriends in the hospital" he revieled.
"Man, I'm sorry. Is she going to be ok?" JC asked politely.
"Yeah, they think so. Her dads there, so I had to sleep a little bit. What are you doin in Vegas?" AJ asked
"Justin came out here for Jennifer's video, and I came along with him so he wasnt all alone" he replied
AJ looked confused. Wasnt Nick in the video? Oh well, it was his floor and he was too tired to care at that point. "Bye" he said as he shook JC's hand and got off the elevator. He wondered if he would ever make it to his room.
"Finally" he said as he collasped on the king size hotel bed and fell into a deep sleep.
At the same time...
"Justin?" Jennifer said as she turned around and saw him.
"I couldnt help but hear that you didnt have anyone to go to the magic show with. I'll go" he paused. "If you want"
Jennifer thought for a moment. Well, she was single, he was single, not to mention very good-looking. Not that that mattered. It wasnt like it was a date. He was just being friendly and offered to go so she didnt look like a loser by herself. "Ok thanks" she finally said with a smile.
"Great" Justin said as he placed his arm around her. Jennifer couldnt find the strength in her to move away. It felt too right. Besides, he was just being friendly she assured herself.
They arrived in the lobby and finally found there way to the theather it took place in. An usher guided them to their front row seats.
"Wow, Kevin got us some good seats" she said, smiling.
"Yeah" Justin agreed as he moved closer to her. She felt guitly, but the truth was, she was beginning to like Justin. He was cute, sweet, honest, caring, everything she told herself Nick wasnt. Or was he? Her thoughts were interupted by someone taking drink orders.
"I'll just have a coke" she said. She looked over at Justin, who was already looking back at her. He wanted to lean in and kiss her. She looked so beautiful that night. Her long hair was curled and pinned with a sparkly clip at the top of her head. A few ringlets hung down in perfect spirals. She was wearing a sleek black dress the sparkled in the light. Two diamond earings were worm delicately in her ears. Justin couldnt resist. He leaned closer. Jennifer could feel his breathing on her neck. She turned her head towards him. Their lips were then inches apart. They were so close, yet worlds apart.
At that exact moment...
"There's our seats" Caitlyn said, pulling a less interested Brian along behind her.
"Uh oh" Caitlyn said, turning around to block Brian's view. What was her friend doing? She had just witnessed Justin and Jennifer's closeness. If Brian saw, he would surely tell Nick, and then things would be worse than they were. "She owes me big" Caitlyn mumbled quietly to herself.
"What?" Brian asked as Caitlyn led him out of the theater. "Dont you want to see the show?" he said as she continued to head towards the exit.
"Um, I want to see you more" she quickly said, hoping he would by it.
"Wait" Brian said, turning around. "Isnt that Jennifer and Justin?"
"Where, oh no" she insisted as she quickly kissed his silky lips.
"But.." he started to say, trying to turn around.
"But what?" she said, kissing him more passionately.
It was too much for Brian. He picked her up and carried her out of the theater, forgetting about what he saw, or didnt see.
Showtime at the Magic Show...
Just as their lips met, the lights dimmed. Jennifer pulled away. "Its starting" she whispered
"I noticed" Justin said, somewhat disappointed, but trying to hide it.
"Aww, your so cute" she said, noticing he was hurt. "Here" she said, gently kissing him on the lips.
He smiled. "You taste like strawberries" he whispered
"Excuse me?" she said
"Your lips, they taste like strawberries" he replied
"Oh, its my strawberry lip gloss" she said, licking her lips
"I love strawberries" he said, leaning towards her
"Here" she said, pulling a small thing of strawberry lip gloss out of her purse.
"Thanks" he said. He opened it and proceeded to put some on Jennifer's lips. It startled her. Then, without warning, he leaned in and kissed it off. Part of Jennifer wanted to puch him off, but she just couldnt. He was irresistable. Finally she turned and pointed towards the stage.
"We're missing the show" she said as she noticed the lip gloss that had gotten on Justin's mouth.
"Missed some" she said as she licked it off with her mouth and turned to watch the show, leaving Justin wanted more.
Meanwhile...
"Thanks for dinner Howie" Amber said as he walked her home.
"No problem, it was my pleasure" he responded happily.
Such a gentleman Amber thought. She wanted to invite him in her house, but she knew if she did he wouldnt want to be with her anymore. He kissed her on the lips as she fumbled to get her key out of her purse. "I better go" she said, as he leaned in to kiss her one more time. Howie looked hurt.
"I'm sorry, my house is a mess" she lied.
Howie tried to understand as he waved goodbye.
That was close Amber thought. She sighed as an older woman walked in the room.
"Where have you been all last night young lady?" the woman said sternly.
"I was out with some friends mother" Amber replied as she bowed her head down.
"Wait til your father heres about this" the woman snapped.
"Please mom, I'm 20 years old, I think I can go out for a while without getting in trouble" Amber pleaded. You could hear the sadness in her voice. She vowed to make sure Howie never found out she still lived with her horrible parents. She would be too embarassed to ever see him again if he did. She sighed again as she walked quickly past her mother to her room.
Back at the hotel...
Brian was holding Caitlyn close to him in his arms as he made his way towards their hotel room.
"Hey Bri, hey Caitlyn" Nick said as they came around the corner.
"Hey" Brian replied
"Weren't you 2 going to the show tonight?" Nick asked curiously
"We were, but Caitlyn decided she didnt feel up to it" Brian said as he looked down at her and smiled a devilish grin.
"Oh, man, did you sell the tickets. They are pretty expenisve to waste" Nick said as he started to walk away.
"No" Brian said. "I didnt even think about it. Here Nick, you take them" Brian said, handing the pair of tickets to his friend.
Nick started to thank him when Caitlyn pryed herself out of Brian's grasp.
"You shouldnt walk into the theater now. The show has already started" she said quickly.
"Well, if I hurry..."
She cut him off. "Dont be rude" she said, her tone growing annoyed.
Nick looked down at the pair of tickets in his hands. Then he looked at the angry Caitlyn in front of him and an even more angry Brian. It wasnt worth it.
"Whatever, take the tickets" Nick said, handing them back to Brian.
As Nick walked out of sight Brian turned to Caitlyn.
"What came over you?" he asked
"Nothing" she said. Jennifer owes me big time she told herself again as she grabbed Brian's hand and pulled him towards the hotel room.
