Back at Jennifer's Bus "Almost there?" Brian asked as he could start to make out buildings in the distance.
"Yes, for the hundredth time" Caitlyn teased
"Ok, cause I am so sick of the bus" Brian said
"I cant wait to go shopping" Caitlyn exclaimed as Alyssa and Sarah nodded in agreement.
20 minutes later...
"Ok, we're here" the bus driver said as he pulled up to a huge hotel in Times Square.
Everyone on the bus grabbed their bags and headed into the lobby which was packed with Backstreet Boys fans
"How do they always find us?" Brian whispered to Caitlyn
"Well, when you go to sleep, I go online and tell everyone" she teased back
"Thanks" he said as a little girl came up and asked for his autograph.
"Who are you?" a teenage fan asked Caitlyn
"I'm a dancer for Jennifer" she said with a smile
"Oh, then why arent you with Jennifer, and where are the rest of the Backstreet Boys?" the girl questioned
Caitlyn didnt know what to say and Brian sensed it, so he jumped in. "Jennifer is at the Rolling Stone studio, and I was on Jennifer's bus because I overslept and missed my bus." he said
"Oh" the girl said as she walked away to tell her friends nearby what was going on
After Brian finished meeting all the fans in the lobby he got his keys and went upstairs with Caitlyn.
"Why dont you just come in my room and hang out?" he asked Caitlyn.
She paused to think and he kissed her as if to seal the answer.
"Fine" she said as she kissed him back
Brian picked her up in his arms and opened his hotel room door. When he walked in he almost dropped Caitlyn when he saw Leighanne sprawled out on his bed wearing a piece of very sexy lingerie.
"Who the hell is she?" Leighanne demanded as she grabbed a nearby robe to cover herself up.
Before Brian could answer Caitlyn jumped in. "You must be Leighanne" she said
"Yeah, now who the hell are you" Leighanne demanded once again as Caitlyn got out of Brians arms.
"Um, sweetie, when someone breaks up with you, generally you dont try to win them back by breaking and entering" Caitlyn said as Brian turned around in shame. He couldnt even look at them. What had he done?
"What the hell are you talking about?" she said as she approached Caitlyn
"Brian said he broke up with you, and thats why I aggreed to date him" Caitlyn responded
"He never broke up with me" Leighanne responded quickly
"Yes he did" Caitlyn said as she looked at Brian for reassurance. "Didnt you?" she asked Brian. He didnt respond and Caitlyn instantly figured out what happened.
"I..I..I'm sorry" Brian said as he tried to grab Caitlyn.
"You lied..." she said as she ran out of the room crying.
Brian went to run after her when he realized that Leighanne was still in the room.
"BRIAN THOMAS LITTRELL" she screamed. "I dont know who the hell you think you are, but it certainly isnt my boyfriend anymore" she added viciously.
"Wait, Leighanne, I can explain" he said pleading with her
"Dont even think about it, just GET OUT!" she yelled
"But its my roo.."
"I dont care, get out" she interupted.
Brian left the room fighting back tears. How could he be so stupid. He lost both of the women he loved the most. He walked over to Nick's room and knocked on the door.
"Its open" Nick yelled from inside
Brian opened the door and saw his friend playing video games. Nick looked over and saw Brian.
"What happened?" Nick asked
"Long story, can I stay here for a while?" Brian asked
"Yeah sure, and Brian, if you need to talk, I'm here" he said as he turned around to his game.
"Thanks" Brian replied as he layed down on the bed to try and make sense of what had just happened.
Later that night...
"See ya after the show" Nick called to Jennifer as she headed backstage and he left to get ready.
"Alright, later" she called back
Jennifer ran onstage and began her performance. She noticed that more and more people were singing along with her. She loved the feeling. Before she exited the stage she reminded everyone to go get her single that was going to be released a week. She thanked them and ran to her dressing room. As she was changing she heard a knock on the door. It was Caitlyn.
"Where have you been?" Jennifer asked, partially concerned and partially upset that one of her dancers had disappeared and not been there for the show. "We had to cover for you" she said sharply.
"Sorry, I had a bad afternoon and I knew I wouldnt be able to do a decent job" Caitlyn responded sincerly
"Well, I've had a few bad days myself, but thats no reason to disappear and not do your job."
"I'm sorry, but I dont have someone like Nick to run and cry to when something goes wrong" Caitlyn said hurtfully
"Whats that supposed to mean?" Jennifer demanded
"Nothing, its just that Brian never broke up with Leighanne" she said to herself
"Huh?" Jennifer said, having no clue what she was talking about
"Well, its just that Brian told me he broke up with his girlfriend Leighanne, so we kind of had sex, but then when we were going into his hotel room today Leighanne was..was.." she had to stop and regain herself from crying
"Aww sweetie, its ok" Jennifer said as she ran to hug her friend
"He lied to me" Caitlyn said in between sobs
Jennifer tried to reassure her that everything was going to be ok, but Caitlyn knew it wouldnt. As the BAckstreet show ended, Jennifer told Caitlyn she would be right back.
Jennifer ran down the hall to the Backstreet dressing room and shoved the door open. Nick, Brian, Howie, AJ and Kevin, all looked up at her. Nick, though somewhat confused to see his girlfriend bursting into his dressing room, greeted her pleasantly.
Jennifer said hi and then immediately walked over to Brian and slapped him. "Thats for Caitlyn" Jennifer said as she left.
"What was that all about?" Nick asked Brian
"I guess I deserved that" he said as he left the room.
"What just happened?" Nick asked again, hoping someone in the room knew why Jennifer had just come in and slapped Brian.
"Well Nick, now you know never to piss Jenn off, she got Brian pretty damn good" AJ teased
"I'll be back" Nick said as he left to go find Jennifer
"Jenn" he called down the hall once he saw her.
She turned around and when she saw him she slowed down.
"Nows not a good time" she said to Nick as she picked up her pace
"Why? What happened?" he asked once again
"Brian lied to Caitlyn. He told her that he broke up with Leighanne, but then she found out he didnt when Leighanne was waiting in Brians hotel room" she said
Nick didnt know what to say. He just stood there and watched her walk away. He had always admired the way Brian had treated Leighanne, and everyone else for that matter. Nick had always wanted to be like Brian in that sense. Brian always knew what to say. But now, Nick had lost all respect. He couldnt believe what his best friend was capable of.
Jennifer went back and got Caitlyn. They left to go back to the hotel room.
The next day was one of the quietest days since the tour began. Jennifer got up and went to her Teen People interview. The Backstreet Boys had promotions to do in New York. Sarah was busy thinking about Justin. Caitlyn was crying most of the day and Alyssa was shopping with one of her old friends from New York.
Aside from everyone being busy, the group was quiet for many more reasons. Jennifer wasnt talking to Brian, Caitlyn wasnt talking to Brian, Nick wasnt talking to Caitlyn or Brian because he wanted to stay out of the mess, and Brian wasnt talking to ANYONE.
