News & Rumours

Lately, Charitie and I have heard some pretty disturbing things about our favourite band, Placebo, and our man, David Bowie. If you, as the viewer, have heard any of this, let us know. If you agree, let us know. If you disagree, let us know that too.

It Has A Name!!

Finally...the news that we've all been living in anticipation for: the 3rd CD has a name! Obviously, the choice for it was hard, for the guys were debating between a few, but they finally settled on...BLACK MARKET MUSIC. Due to be released by the end of September/early October, their newest single "Taste In Men" is getting some pretty diverse reviews. It's about half-and-half. One side likes it, while the other doesn't. So it's definitely up to the listeners' "taste".

New Record?!

Yes, ladies and gentleman, after much waiting and suspense, Placebo is coming out with a third album. From what I understand, "Placebo" was about the party; "Without You I'm Nothing" was about the morning after; and the new one will be about picking up for one more shot. We have also heard that the record will lie along the same lines as "Pure Morning" in the essence of music, of rhythm, but we are not quite sure about this. We shall all just have to wait and see.

Release Dates!!

Oh, good Lord, faithful viewers, after anxiety attacks and panic-stricken dreams, the release date for the 3rd CD has been narrowed down to two possible dates: April/May or September. Although I know not for sure if these guesses are correct, it sure gives all of us a better timeframe for hoping. We now have about 40 days to wait through instead of the previous 365. If anyone knows for sure, PLEASE let me know so that I can divulge the information to Placebo's fans.

THIS IS IT!

Alright. I've found out that the newest single...due to be released in stores July 17...is titled "Taste in Men". If this is a preview of what the rest of the CD is going to be like, then bring it on. I loved it. It's got a techno twist with simple lyrics that are very catchy. In fact, I listened to the 4-minute song for about 3 hours last night. The CD, still untitled, is going to be released sometime in September, according to the news. It's going to have a few collaborations with other artists.

That is basically it for what I have to say for this evening. I'll keep you posted on what I think and hear. If you hear any interesting stories or facts, let me know.
