In the Fall of 1997, Corey, Eric, and Chris found each other in the town of Windham, Maine and started what would one day be known as Corridor. The threesome practiced day-in and out learning a variety of covers and experimenting in the writing process. When the three wanted to round out their sound, they obtained guitarist Joe Thomas. After several months of having nothing accomplished, they replaced Joe with present Lead man Tom. After a great 2 years with the band, Tom left due to musical/personal differences. The band then obtained ex-Further front man Heath Emery.
Corridor's sound is pure, unadulterated Metal. Their influences stem from such bands as: Life of Agony, Metallica, Tool, Alice in Chains and Sevendust. They focus their attention towards chunky riffs, tight rhythm, and melodic vocals.
Corridor’s first taste of competition came to face them with the 15th annual Reindeer Rock Offs. The band pressed through the preliminary rounds to take a well earned position of third in the finals. Drummer Chris took the award for 3rd best drummer in the state of Maine.
In January of 1999, Corridor’s dream came true when they opened for local legends Twisted Roots at the Asylum. Face Magazine’s Andre Salles had this to say about the bands performance: “First on stage was Corridor from Windham High School, and damn, they cranked.” “these boys pummeled us with a tight set the whole way through.” “the crowd went nuts to the psycho-instrumental ending of BLISS, the final song.”
The debut of Heath Emery at Bluntfest 2000 on December 31st, reflected a positive look on what will hopefully come in the next year.
The sounds of the Corridor are no longer faint. As each day draws to a close, they become louder and louder. Be prepared, for Corridor is coming. SO IT BEGINS.......
