Where's Mama? - part six: The Cool Concert.
"Where's Mama?" yelled Isaac.
"I don't know." said the receptionist, looking up from her computer screen.
"Calm down boy's," Mrs Hanson said. "What's happened?"
"Our professional groomer was grooming her and she ran away," the manager explained. "We're terribly sorry."
"Do you have any idea where she went?" Mr Hanson asked.
"We know that she's still in the hotel somewhere, as we've had doormen on the doors all night," the manager answered.
"Let's go find her!" Ike cried.
"No Ike, stop!" Mr Hanson cried as Ike ran off. "We'll have to find her in the morning. It's getting terribly late .... and you have a concert tomorrow. Now come on, up to your rooms."
"Ohhh Dad.." Zac whined.
"I won't be able to sleep without finding Mama," Ike whimpered.
"Come on Walker," Mrs Hanson said. "Don't you think you're being a bit tough? You know how much the kids love that cat."
"No," Mr Hanson said firmly.
"Oh Walker, you're such a poofter," Mrs Hanson said.
"Am I?" Mr Hanson said, alarmed. "Well yes, I suppose I am. Okay kids. Let's go find Mama."
"Meow."
"What was that?" asked Mackenzie, the only one who heard the 'meow'.
"What?" everyone turned to look at him.
"That meow."
"Mackenzie I hope you're not lying," Mr Hanson said warningly.
"Shhh Shhh."
"Meow."
"I heard it too!" Ike exclaimed.
"Me too!" Zac cried.
"Good spotting Mac!" Taylor said.
Mac smiled, looking very proud.
"Where's it coming from?" Ike asked.
"I don't know," Zac answered.
"Meow."
"I think it's coming from the laundry room," Tay said.
"But the laundry monster will eat Mama up!" Mac cried.
"Lau..laun...laundry monster?" said Ike.
"Yeah and if you go in there he'll eat you up too!" Zac said.
"Zachary, stop teasing your big brother," Mrs Hanson said.
"I think I'll wait out here with Mac," Ike said.
"Okay Ike," Tay said, hoping Zac wouldn't say anything.
Luckily he didn't.
The family (excepting Mac and Isaac) went into the laundry room and came out a few minutes later holding a very scared cat.
"You're alive!" Isaac cried when he saw his family.
"Mama!" Mac cried hugging the cat tightly.
Mr and Mrs Hanson went over to talk to the manager while the kids hugged and kissed Mama.
"Okay guys, we're taking her to our hotel room for the night," Mr Hanson said when he came back.
The Hanson's walked up the stairs to their room instead of taking the lift just incase Mama was claustrophobic (Ikes idea).
Later that night a happy, laughing, Hanson family went to bed and soon were all fast asleep.
But before the two adults went to sleep Mrs Hanson whispered to Mr Hanson, "We have to do something with that cat."
"But wait,I have to do something with you first." said Mr Hanson slyly.
"Ooh, Walker, that's a bit naughty!"
Later that night Taylor woke up, desperatly needing to go to the toilet.
As he walked in he heard Isaac say, "Ouch, cut myself."
"What is going on in here Ike?" asked Tay, walking in.
"Nothing!" said Isaac, obviously trying to hide something behind his back.
Tay looked at Ike. "Give that to me," and he grabbed the razor from Ike. "Ike, you're not trying to shave your belly again are you?"
Ike went red. "How did you know I'd done it the first time?"
"Well," said Tay. "When I went to have a bath the other day, I noticed all these hairs in the bottom of the bath and since mum doesn't use our bathroom and Jessica and Avery don't shave their legs yet I thought it must be you or Zac."
"I do not shave my legs!" exclaimed Isaac.
"Yeah, we can tell." said Tay, glancing at Ike's gross gorilla legs.
"Well, how did you know it was me then?" asked Ike.
"So I looked at your and Zac's legs and they were hairy so it wasn't that, then when we went swimming the next day I thought, 'hey, what's happened to Ike's belly, it's so much whiter!' then it struck me." said Tay.
"Don't tell mum please, she'll embarrass me!" pleaded Ike.
"I won't tell her, just as long as you don't do it again." said Tay.
"But if I don't, they'll grow back thick and black!" said Ike.
"Ike, face it, they couldn't be more thicker and blacker than they already were!" said Tay.
"Ooh Tay, I hate you!"
"No, Ike, I won't tell her," said Tay. "But just pray Zac doesn't find out! By the way, would you like a plaster, that cut looks nasty."
Ike looked confused. "What's a plaster?"
"Something I learned from my two New Zealand friends. In other words - Band-Aid."
"Oh," said Ike. "Don't they talk weird over there?"
Late next morning.
"Come on guys, get in the van. Hurry up!" Tay pushed his family.
He couldn't wait to get to the concert. Every time he played at a concert he enjoyed it even more than the one before.
Finally the whole family was in the van and they drove off.
"I'm so psyched!" Taylor exclaimed.
"Obviously," Zac said.
Tay just smiled.
"When we get there, we'll drop you kids off and go do a few errands. The bodyguards will take care of you, okay?" Mrs Hanson said.
"Dad's actually letting us do this?" Zac asked, incredibously.
"Zac, don't be smart. I'm only strict for your own good." Mr Hanson said.
"I know, I know," Zac muttered.
They soon arrived at the Universal Amphitheatre, where their concert was to be held.
The bodyguards walked them inside, and as soon as they were inside Mr and Mrs Hanson drove off.
The concert was due to start at 2:00 but already a few eager fans were arriving.
While the other bodyguards weren't looking, this really nice one let the three boys go out and shake hands, sign a few autographs and talk to the people (who were mostly girls!).
But soon Mr and Mrs Hanson came back and the boys were whisked off to have some lunch.
After lunch it was nearly time to perform.
Zac peeked out. The place was packed. Zac felt lucky to be so popular.
Suddenly there was screaming.
Zac looked out in time to see his mother chasing Mackenzie across the stage. Mac ran into Zac and Zac held him until his mother was there.
As Mrs Hanson took Mac off for a telling off, Zac was called over to where his brothers were standing.
"Okay guys, you're going on in about quarter of an hour. Are you all ready?"
"Where are my shakey things?" Zac asked.
"I've got them," Tay answered. "It's lucky you've got an organized older brother!"
"Don't go chasing waterfalls," Zac sang a song by his fave group, TLC, to himself.
"Tay stop biting your finger nails," Ike said. "You'll bite them all off."
"Well I'm nervous!" Tay said.
"Tay, you've done this concert a million times before," Zac said.
"So, I'm still allowed to be nervous."
"I'm nervous too," Ike said. "Aren't you Zac?"
"Okay, okay I admit I am a bit," Zac answered.
The rest of the Hanson family walked up to the boys . "Good luck guys," Mrs Hanson said.
"Yeah," Jessie added. "Please those fans out there."
"Are you nervous?" Avie asked.
"Sort of," The boys answered.
"Well good luck, we'll be backstage watching, okay?" Mr Hanson.
"Okay seeya!"
"Come on boys, it's time!"
The brothers went on stage to cheering, screaming fans.
After the concert.
"Guys that was excellent!" Ike exclaimed.
"Yeah, that was the best concert ever!" Tay decided.
Zac groaned. "You say that every time!"
"Well every time it's better," Tay said.
"All right guys! That was awesome!" their producer, Stephen Lironi, said coming up to the boys.
"Ohno," Zac moaned. "Time for the press conference."
"Zac promise me you'll be good this time," Taylor said.
Everyone laughed.
"No I meant it," Tay said.
"Yeah Tay's right," Ike added. "You better be Zac, otherwise no McDonalds for tea tonight."
"Okay, I promise I'll be good," Zac promised.
The Hansons' then drove off to the press conference.
Later that night.
As the Hansons drove home after the press conference they talked about the days events.
"The concert was very good boys," Mr Hanson said.
"Thanks," Tay said. "And thanks Zac for being good at the press conference. You didn't embarrase us for once!"
"Let's stop at McDonalds for tea eh?" Mr Hanson said.
"Are we allowed to sign autographs?" Tay asked.
"Oh I suppose so." Mr Hanson answered.
"Cool!"
"Yeah thanks Dad," Ike said. "You know how much we lke to talk to fans."
"But as long as we're not there all night," Mr Hanson said.
They drove into the McDonalds carpark. The place was packed.
''I don't know if this is such a good idea," Mrs Hanson said. "Look at how packed it is. We'll never get out of here. Maybe we should just get drive-through."
"Mmm. Mac's asleep any way, and everyone's tired." Mr Hanson agreed. "What do you think guys?"
"Yeah okay, we'll get drive-through."
"You can have some time to speak to fans tomorrow eh. We've still got heaps of nights left."
"Okay."
So they ordered their tea and drove back to the hotel.
Ike was the first one inside their room and he noticed something very important was missing.
"Where's Mama?" he asked worriedly.
