How old were you when you decided that singing was what you wanted to do?
I was about 15 when I knew that singing was what I wanted to do, but I've been singing all my life. To actually make it a profession was when I was 15.
Who was your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations musically are Lauryn Hill, Crystal Lewis and believe it or not, the Backstreet Boys.
Were the people around you supportive of you?
Not all the time because they were afraid that if I make it to be some big famous singer that I'll forget about my family and what really matters in life. Some of my friends are extremely supportive and I love them for it.
Have you ever taken voice lessons? If so, how long ago and do you think you've improved since?
I've never taken singing lessons before but I'm thinking of taking them soon.
What's the best comment about your voice that you ever got?
The best comment about my voice was that it's very unique.
What's the worst comment about your voice that you ever got?
I haven't gotten any...yet!
Do your lyrics come from the heart?
I've never written a song, but I do write poems and of course those come straight from the heart.
What genre of music do you hope to be categorized in?
I'd like to be categorized in pop/gospel/R&B.
What goals do you plan to reach in your lifetime?
To become a world famous singer and touch people's lives.
If singing doesn't work out, what other career path might you follow?
That's a good question. Um...I'd have to say either an anthropologist, an astronomer, or a computer graphics designer.
How does it feel to be featured on Hidden Talents...where we only show off real talent?
I feel really great about it.
