"I Det Glimrande Morkrets Djup"
Eparygon (Guitars & Bass), Nattfursth (Voice & Chants), & Zathanel (Drums)
Behold, "I Det Glimrande Morkrets Djup", a classic piece of tenebrous art that is no doubt the product of eternally dark spirited passions of those which SORHIN consists of. Musically speaking, "I Det Glimrande Morkrets Djup" merits classification among the black metal elite. From start to finish, the listener is entirely enveloped in a bitterly cold and bleak atmosphere where melody and technical ferocity coexist to ultimately form this original Nordic masterpiece. Amid the skillfully structured instrumental interactions resides the ghoulish and agony stricken voice of Nattfursth whose vocal approach reflects this record's basic theme of darkness and utter desparity. The crystaline production is courtesy of the legendary Abyss Studios which truly does this band's sound their due justice and allows for all fearsome instrumentation to be clearly discernable. Unfortunately, the so-called mainstream "media" has foolishly overlooked SORHIN's obviously infernally gifted capacity to create quality unholy black metal well within the upper echelon of this genre. Do not make the same mistake!
NOTE: Tracks from this recording also appear on the Near Dark Productions compilation titled, "Under the Banner of Darkness" (which also includes Blot Mine, Funeral Mist, & others) and a compilation released by Dark Horizon Records.
