The heroine of our story runs a bed and
breakfast, and is a big fan of the
latest music craze :
Since the first week of September is not booked with any guests, and she had read somewhere that touring was really rough on them due to the screaming fans constant presence, being cooped up in motel rooms, the abuse that the fans dished out by throwing jelly beans and the like at them and so on; she decides on a fluke to contact their manager Brian Epstein, and ask him if he would allow the Beatles to come and stay at her place for a week of relaxation,free of charge, following their last tour engagement on August 31, at the Cow Palace in San-Francisco, California.
She sends pictures and brochures of the place and the town to him, to help them decide; not really expecting a reply, Brian and the Beatles agree after Brian comes to check her out on a surprise visit and approves of her and the accomodations. Brian continues to stay in contact for several days to make arrangements.
