Howie is one of the elder Backstreet Boys at 26. His birthday is on August the 22nd. Howie's favourite colour is purple and he loves Mexican food. He was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and his background is Spanish, Irish and Puerto Rican. Howie suffered a tragic loss late last year when his sister, Carolyn passed away to the disease of Lupus. Howie's parents live in Tampa where dozens of kilograms of fanmail go. Sometimes, Mrs. Dorough even lets fans go into their house for a tour. "One time we were eating dinner and my mom was just about ready to invite these two girls in," Howie laughs. (So if you wanna visit one of their houses... GO TO HIS!!!!) Howie spends his spare time reading and hanging out with his friends back home.
