No 83345:
No 83345 (robot control): A bubbling cauldron of rusted, screeching electronics repeating and reverberating through space and time. Ends with some good ol' backwards talking.
Fund Raising: A humorous sample of a telemarketing-charity drive.
Daddy: Moans and groans from an echo chamber in another dimension, captured on a short wave radio and recorded to copper.
Technical Difficulties: Don't ear-blink, you might miss it.
No 83345 (factory): An airport lobby clashes with an East German radio broadcast and a machine that makes fiber-optic shingles, culminating in a fury of scratch DJ-ing.
Music is Vibration: Repeating tape manipulation of a voice saying something sounding like "Music is like bear shit" The sample eventually gets longer and clearer and it gradually becomes apparent that the voice is saying "Music is vibrations of sound". It's funny cause it's true.

Overall rating: 4.8 out of a possible 5 stars

D-503 - No. 83345
Hmm, catchy title! Anyway, the title track gets off to a great start with all manner of unidentifiable looping noises and screeches backed by faint
reverberating humms - this seems much more layered than a lot of the other D-503 stuff with lots happening - bassy humms, screeches, sped up tapes. Very cool and well mixed - even the less noise inclined listeners enjoyed it. The second track is a short conversation snippet entitled 'Fundraising' in which some woman trys to shake off a telesales guy before turning into the fucked up downers induced nightmare that is 'Daddy'. The slowed down speech and sonar pings make it feel like the listener is drowning beneath the sound - disturbing!
'No. 83345 (Factory)' is full of reverb, clangs, bangs and garbled computer voices. The machine sounds lend a loosely rhythmic element to the proceedings while distorted feedback improvises over it. Very nice, if you don't mind me saying so. The final track, 'Music is vibration' manipulates a cool sample; expanding, pitch shifting and generally messing it up until it almost becomes musical.
This is a good quality and of just the right length to be a very enjoyable and worthwhile listen. There's a consistent mood and style spread across the main tracks and it works well. So get a copy of it!

D503 "no.83345" cassette tape- written2/5: On train line home in the snow. Have grown accustom to silence, for familiarities, for selfishness infesting. I use these speakers to put stillness into motion:
-a wet seat
-man eating fruit or just falling asleep with his work still having to be done
-crippled stiff neck race times two
