4 Flies on Grey Velvet/Masters of the Universe (split c60) This used to be distributed by Retarded Audio Tapes, but apparently they are no more and Jason Campbell only records under his given name any more, not as 4FOGV [i could be wrong though]. so i guess you can only get it through odd productions/ROG. the 4 Flies on Grey Velvet side is one song called 'zombie attack,' noise loops and weird atmospheric sounds that really makes a better soundtrack to Day of the Dead than the original, although not as forceful as the title suggests. Masters of the Universe, a collaborative effort between gordon deathswamp and street pole skinner, do five songs of keyboards and programmed beats. the first two songs are thoughtful tracks, kind of 50's sci-fi sounding. the third song 'man eating bill collectors' is more sci-fi type stuff, only 70's 80's this time, with a big weird sample of a guy telling a story about emperor zung and the man eating bill collectors. 'sweep away the children' is a happy little tune over the sound of kids playing [ever watch tv with the captions on? cos this is what they would call "children chattering" in the captions] and the last song 'intestinal discharge' is another upbeat track with squishy moog-y sounds. very nice.
