dogproofracoonbubble this drinking water is not for sale (c-60 from gi'-i-sa-wa recordings)
i was listening to the first track off this, 'exploder process', with my grandmother in the car as we went to a flea market (where i hoped to find a tape machine to dismantle). "it doesn't change very much, does it?" she said, her voice raised above the grating static buzz. "yeah it does, it's just subtle changes over time," i defended. "what?" ..this release is more straight noise than what i've heard from dogproofracoonbubble previously, with less field recordings and voice samples (the exception being the second to last track which is a large collage of noise and samples). they're still there occasionally, but  buried in the mix or nearly inaudible, such as the long period on the first side with just a few incredibly quiet loops and sounds (i can't say for certain which track, it could be 'bronco reaction'). altogether i would say that this has a more serious tone than something like
57 different versions of the same five children live in me (apart from the sped-up sample of mr. rogers singing, that is) and well worth the three bucks to order it.
