WBjr. Punx & Guest aus dem industriellen kindergesangbuch (cdr from fognin)
this was sent to me by semjon [of klang 1 fame] cos he guests on nearly every track besides doing three bonus tracks on his own. actually the catalyst for my receiving this was the fact that i mistakenly called semjon a girl when i was writing up the review for klang, which of course made him write to me and chew me out, so then i apologized, blah blah blah... anyway, it ended up with me receiving this cd featuring the thirteen or fourteen year old, plus the punx from the netherlands [i think] also in about the same age range. the first four wbjr punx tracks are a lot of pulsing bass noise and random keyboard noises, with kids screaming/singing random things at random times, best repesented by the twenty-four minute track 'kan du nederlands verstan?'. some weird editing too, with sounds cutting in and out pretty abruptly. the semjon tracks are even crazier than the other tracks, despite having somewhat more structured music, kind of like the track on klang but more improvised sounding. the best track is probably the german version of 'das ist punk' cos of the guitar bit sampled into the keyboard, which sadly isn't on the english version, as well as the bit where he pointedly says "no no no i'm not a girl". the vocals on these tracks are absolutely great, crazy screams and shrieks going perfectly with the random keyboard stuff. and i don't even know what's going on with the bonus track. more craziness than than you'd get if randomly spliced together eleven wesley willis and daniel johnston tapes.
