Seven Layer Static seems to be not so much a name as a description of the sound, as there is lots of static and white noise of all kinds. this is the kind of stuff i might be doing if i hadn't ever gotten a computer, and if the circuitry on my turntable hadn't fried itself, slow shifting static and feedback, buzzing drones and the like. an obvious standout track would be 'A Man, A Dog, A Boy, A Girl' just because of the abundance of vocal samples [telephone conversation, voicemail, and an hilarious sample about a Tom Cruise movie]. four tracks spread over nearly forty minutes, so if you like your noise fast and aggressive stay away. only for those with the patience for it.
