Stereo Type - Shang Hais Surprise

Local band Stereo Type recently put out their second recording, Shang Hais Surprise and are currently playing a few shows to support it.  this time around Stereo Type's sound is better represented by a more professional sound provided by Mojo Studios in Bethlehem NH.  Louder guitars and an improved drum mix make the vocals jump out more and the bass guitar sounds cleaner and more pronounced.  On the border of being hard core metal, Stero Type manage to inject politiclly correct lyrics and issues of today into some the best music I have heard in an unsigned band.  Well thought out tunes with surprise time changes in the musical arrangements make this good to listen to.  If Stereo Type got into the studio again with more money for recording, they would be dangerous.  Stereo Type is as good as any of the bands on the second stage of Ozzfest, but we live in Berlin and no one famous will ever discover them around here, too bad.
