DEVICE
Device went into production on Jan 01-1998 under the control of Matt Dashem. After the seperation of his previous band Matt began working on
his own, producing tracks on his computer, working out of his bedroom, his goal being to produce a style of music without boundary, limited only by his mind. Weather or not
his goal has been reached, I guess only time will tell. After about 2 years of work Device had completed 7 full tracks, and about 30 unfinished works ranging anywhere
from soft/psycocore to electrometal. Nevermind the terminology, it's the sound the counts. Reaching somewhat of a creative plateau in November of 1999, Matt decided that
in order for Device to progress he would need to enlist the help of others who could assist him in taking Device to a new level, thus the creation of Device the live band.
Joining the squad in November '99, Justin Rubleon guitar and Michael Glenn on drums ,and in 00' Derek Suen on bass. Rehersals began on the tracks that were previously recorded and
understandably the music took a new feel, a more live, living feel. The atmosphere dark and cold, as strobe lights and lava lamps adds to the intensity of the music, push their sound
to the limit. Although still searching for new members, Device continues to explore new sonic capabilties and musical styles within it's current set up. What holds the future? We shall find out.
