Poems In A Foreign Language
I’m not much for rhetoric
I don’t care for politics
Having no interest in dialects
That are of no interest and little effect
I’m not friends with the slip kids
I’m not in with the misfits
Having no patience for dimwits
Who are ignorant and enjoy it
Over the hill a choir is singing in a foreign language
I don’t know what they’re saying but i can see
They don’t know that i am in their shadow
But they don’t scare me
I need a revelation
From a dying nation
That hates its education
And it’s own foundation
I may be in to theology
Which makes more sense than philosophy
Which conflicts with society
And won’t get me notoriety
Over the hill a choir is singing in a foreign language
I don’t know what they’re saying but i can see
They don’t know that I am in their shadow
But they don’t scare me
It seems that no-one agrees with me
But I’d rather be right alone then wrong with the crowd
I don’t have opinions I just spread facts
Maybe you would understand if you would just relax
Some people have it coming
They get it in the running
They lose it and start gunning
Their average loss is stunning
Everyone’s a comic
They’re happy and platonic
Even if Islamic
Isn’t it ironic?
Over the hill a choir is singing in a foreign language
I don’t know what they’re saying but i can see
They don’t know that I am in their shadow
But they don’t scare me
