Fairy tale called life

Hey kids, you say you don’t like school

Be lucky that you still have the will to live

Soon you’ll realize what’s wrong in this world

And if you have a heart, you’ll never get over it

You drag through school then you have to work

For the crumbs underneath their table

You’ve grown up when you realize the worth

Of this fairy tale called life

In this life there’s nothing you can do

To make the world become a better place

There’s no time and too much evil

To stand up against it would only prove a waste

The martyrs grace the pages of history

They tried and then they failed

Live a little bit and then you’ll see

We live in this fairy tale called life

Death is freedom…….

When I was younger, before I could feel pain

Before my thoughts got the best of me

Before this misery was made so very plain

Back when all I needed was free

The worries in my head were always tame

The hurt was always stale

Now I try so hard just to stay the same

In this fairy tale called life
