of the most popular groups that best matches to Fey's style of pop music
KABAH: Their name comes from
the huge ancient Maya ruins, located at the peninsula of Yucatan, in Mexico. It means mask place or gods path.
They are between the ages of 18 and 24, and they're one of the most popular pop groups of Latin America. Since
1994, they made a great deal of accomplishments, including taking part of the "Agujetas de color de Rosa"
soap opera, first place in Valores Juveniles 1994, the Acapulco festivals of 95, 96 and 97, telethons, etc. On
March of 1997, they released their album La Calle de las Sirenas (The Street of the Mermaids). They sold over half a
million copies, and were awarded with three gold albums and one platinum in the United States and Latin America.
On August of 1998, they released their second album Esperanto (An artificial international language based on european word roots),
which includes some great pop hits such as "Una Ilusion" (I have included a translation for this lyric) and "Mai, Mai". Now on the year 2000,

ONDA VASELINA: This young pop group
began their career in 1990 at an early age trying different styles of music (mostly Pop and Rock and Roll). Almost
ten years after, they present us with their own style of teenage pop music full of energy, in their album "Entrega Total".
It includes many rhytmic and also some ballad pop songs. The song "Te quiero tanto" (I love you so much),
was used as the theme song for the hit soap opera "Mi pequeña traviesa". They released their second
album "Vuela mas alto" (Fly much higher) in 1998. Just like the previews one, it is also packed with hit pop music, and
it includes their latest single "No es obscesion" (I have included a translation with this lyric). Today, they're traveling on the extensive "Gira
diez años Onda Vaselina" tour across Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, and Spain.
