• His birthday is November 10, 1979.
• Has a twin sister (Louise) and an older sister (Nicole).
• Had glasses as a kid.
• Was the first of the guys to cut his hair (claimed that "Bedhead is a horrible thing!").
• smash used to think he was only good at living up to the bass player stereotype of being boring and bad at dancing, until he stood up to one of the most annoying people she knows. Now, she says she "would like to take back any mean, insulting, or negative remarks about Chris...he is a ******* legend!"
• Once dyed his hair blue.
• Once had a cat he dropped into a swimming pool...it ran away and didn't come back. Now he has a German shepherd (Khan) and a pug (Gus), and is rumored to have gotten yet another dog (Kira).
• He's not very good with equipment.
• Like Ben, he was frequently pantsed by Adalita during the Summer Freak Shows tour.
• Was learning acoustic guitar when Ben and Daniel *convinced* him to be the bass player.
• Ate an orange crayon when he was eight (Ben and Daniel *convinced* him it was cheese).
• Once got locked in a bathroom by...Ben and Daniel. (Oooh, big surprise there!)
• Thinks the Aussie show "Neighbours" is unrealistic because he has never seen any of the characters take a shower or go to the toilet, and tried to explain this to Daniel (see quote at top of page for Daniel's reaction).
• His resolution for 2001 is to not let Ben puke on him anymore (the poor kid!)
• Swears Elvis lives next door to him in Newcastle.
• The ovens from the Freak video are rumored to be stashed somewhere in his garage.
• When silverchair did some 1996 shows with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they helped trash the stage at the end of the last gig, and Chris got to keep Flea's broken bass.
• silverchair was in Toronto on Chris' 20th birthday, and when they visited a radio station, he was given a birthday cake. If you go visit the radio station these days, they still have Chris' plate, with his autograph and leftover chocolate icing along the side. They also have a few polaroids of sc's appearance tacked to their wall. If you're ever in Toronto, you can go to 228 Yonge St. and see for yourself! (Considering how long ago this was, I wonder if the stuff's still there?)
• Later called the same radio station to say goodbye to the DJ, who was leaving (for a MuchMusic gig, I think). Wasn't that nice of him?
