Head Trip

The video for Ana's Song was featured in one episode of the MTV show Head Trip. (If you've never seen it, the show combined silly cartoons and dubbed-over music videos to just make fun of celebrities.) I have transcribed the dubbed-over conversation for those of you who don't have (or bother watching) MTV. (Warning: It's not nice, so if you don't like sarcasm, you might not want to keep reading.)

(Video begins)
Daniel: This song's about the most beautiful woman I know - me! Because I love me!
Girl (getting up): Oh my God what have I done? I remember blood, a guest house, a Bronco - I think I'm being framed by racist cops!
Daniel: Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. There are plenty of other reasons. The hair under my lip lets you know I'm not Jewel.
(In wheelchair) I'm not really crippled, just too cool to walk.
(Watching himself play) Did Joan Jett ever rock this hard? No. Cher? No. Courtney Love? Well - maybe Courtney Love.
(Climbing out) Hey! Feet off the silverchair!
Girl: Okay, so in the OJ manual it says "Wash hands."
Daniel: And you'd better call Johnny Cochran!
Girl:Thanks, Kato! Good thinking!
(Song slows)
Daniel: I use L'Oreal - cause I'm worth it!
(On beach) Somewhere between man and woman lies me.
(In silhouette, whispers) Self Obsession, by Calvin Klein.
Girl (outstretched hands): Let my people go!
Daniel: ? (I couldn't quite catch what he said, so email me if you saw the show.)
Girl (crying in sink): I'm a murderer! And worse, I'll never be as pretty as the lead singer of silverchair!
Daniel: I'm so pretty, it hurts.
