The Goo Goo Dolls had a hairy, scary, airy mishap during a year-end European tour. After performing for our boys and girls on board the USS John F. Kennedy and at the U.S. Army base in Tuzla, Bosnia, the Goos almost bought the farm landing in Italy. Their U.S. Navy C-9 approached twice before touching down during a severe thunderstorm, then skidded off the runway. The Goos were evacuated, and, thankfully, no one was hurt.

The guys were also mentioned in a review of Tonic's new cd "Sugar."

[Goo related part as follows]Tonic's second album is the most consistently catchy set of modern-rock ditties since the Goo Goo Dolls' Dizzy Up The Girl, traversing all the emotional peaks and valleys that make this kind of music as embarrassingly and irresistibly gut wrenching as an episode of Party of Five.
