Jim Carruthers began his professional music career in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and attained regional success in the 1980s with his own band called, Jim Carruthers and Renegade opening shows for Tanya Tucker, John Anderson, Earl Thomas Conally and Steve Wariner to name just a few. In 1987 Jim rededicated his life to the Lord, since then he has brought his music with a message to rodeos, fairs, livestock events, camp meetings, Wal-Mart tours, concerts and churches all across the nation as well as many television appearances, including the worldwide Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Jim's first album, recorded in Nashville and entitled, Cowboy Way, on the Daywind/Thoroughbred label, includes the hit single "Little Girls and Daddies", that he wrote and performs with his, now, thirteen year old daughter, Jessica. His second Nashville project was with Mountainview Music Group entitled, "Give Yourself Up" and it produced four top ten singles and one number one single on the national Christian country charts. He charted his first single, entitled" "Little Church Down On The Corner"" in February of 1994 and has since been, consistently, on the national Christian country charts. Jim Carruthers is one of the most prolific performers in Christian country music today. He joins a new breed of performer who focuses on delivering a positive message while maintaining their country music roots. Jim Carruthers is a much sought after singer/songwriter in demand for concert appearances across the nation. His music is definately "MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE"

 


Jessica

Jessica has been performing with her dad since she was 5 years old, when she recorded "Little Girls and Daddies" with him, in Nashville, at Oak Valley Studios. She currently lives with her dad and attends Travis Middle School in Irving, TX where she is involved in many school activities including: cheerleading, student council, National Junior Honor Society, advanced girls choir, the annual Hollywood Bound talent show and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Jessica owns her own horse and is an accomplished rider. She is a member of the Golden Triangle Saddle Club(GTSC) and the Kaufman County Riding Club(KCRC) where she has won many events including a buckle for placing in her division in 2000. She was also elected " GTSC Sweetheart for 2001". She was awarded "Young Performer of the Year" in 1999 by the Country Gospel Music Association. Jessica is working on her first solo album project and plans on pursuing a career in music. She continues to perform with her dad and they are, currently, one of the very few Father/Daughter Duo's in Christian Country music, today.
