Brian Thomas Littrell was born on February 20,1975 in Lexington, Kentucky. He lived with a close knit family- his father Harold, mother Jackie, and older brther Harold the 3rd. He grew up n a typical middle-class family, and spent his time playing sports and singing. He would always sing with his parents in church and choir.

His life took a turn for the worse when a fall at the playground resulted in him going to the hospital. There they found an infection that spread though his blood and threatened hi life. They also discovered a related problem, a pin-prick sized hole n his heart and a heart murmur. The doctors told his parents it had spread too far and to call the funeral home. Bt with his will to live and his parents faith, he survived and slowly recovered.

With his weakheart, his parents wouldn't let him play soccer, so he picked up basketball. Sports allowed Brian to get stronger and stronger. Also in High School, he followed his love of performing. He got leads in his school plays and musicals. He sang in a school Talent Show and with the huge response he received, he decided that was what he would like to pursue in his life.He decided he would develop his skills in college.

He never made it to college. In his Senior year of High School, his 20 year old cousin, Kevin became a member of the Backstreet Boys. They were in search of a fifth member and Kevin remembered Brian. He called his school and took him out of class to tell him the news. The day after, Brian took a flight to Orlando. He auditioned and the Backstreet Boys were finally complete. Surprise facts: bites his nails, is afraid of heights, and has a hole in his heart, underwent surgery May 8, 98, he is fine now. When he was five, his heart stopped beating for 30 seconds.
