Anyone ever see those awful Jerry Warren films, like The Wild World of Batwoman or The Incredible Petrified World? As bad as those are, there's an even worse monstrosity -- it's called Face of the Screaming Werewolf and was the last time Lon Chaney Jr. played the Wolf Man on the silver screen.
I recently stole that title for a little surrealist book project I've been working on (and off for the past 13 years). Although my book isn't truly a novelization of Warren's film, it does recycle dialogue and imagery from the movie while telling a much stranger tale about Satan's fall (in the Miltonian sense) and the nature of ambition, power and elitism.
I personally think Face of the Screaming Werewolf (the film) is much worse than Plan 9 From Outer Space or any of these alleged "worst movies ever." So if you're looking for an evening of z-grade movie-watching, check out Warren's flick.
