w.a.s.t.e. of time.

Radiohead and Internet together makes sense. After all, the band is into technology and all that. (OK Computer, anyone?) But anyway, there's lots of radiohead stuff waiting for you to explore on the internet, as well as the webpages you can see... below are some of the more interesting things.

Mailing List:

Yes. Um... this is the *discussion group* for radiohead. If you haven't tried it out... you might as well... all radiohead fans should try it at some time. Either you love this list, or you hate it. Personally, i hate it. it's not really ever relevant to anything radiohead at all... but try it out all the same. You be the judge... For all the info you need, go here

Announce List:

Ah... now this i like better. Infrequent mails... which actually tell you INFORMATION about radiohead... stuff like latest releases, tour dates, gossip and rumours about new songs, etc... fun. sign up here.

Chatting on IRC:

IRC stands for 'internet relay chat', and basically it's a chatting program that doesn't have the 'reload symptom' so famously present on WWW chat. Here's what you do:

There are several radiohead irc channels, but probably the best one is #permanent_daylight on DALnet. Once connected to DALnet, type: ' /j #permanent_daylight ' and you should get onto the radiohead channel.  Like the mailing list, no one here ever talks about anything *radiohead*, but you can make some new friends at least.

GO TO THE #permanent_daylight homepage!

alt.music.radiohead
: for most people, this doesn't work unfortunately. it's basically like the mailing list... a discussion group. if your news provider has it... lucky you...

stuff@wasteproducts.demon.co.uk: send your land address to this place, and get a really nice merchandice pack.  you'll also be signed up for the w.a.s.t.e. mailing list, the very infrequent and irregular radiohead newsletter.   really, it is worth it, and it's free... so go ahead and do it...

radiohead@fanclub.demon.co.uk: if you have radiohead queries, or want to email the band, write to this email address. i don't think radiohead actually read this stuff.. but they have a correspondant, Mel, who can help you out. that is, if your message is interesting. if you don't get a reply, don't be surprised.
