This is a real recipe for ratatouille. It is a wonderful, light vegetarian dish, perfect for a Tori-themed dinner party. I got this recipe from a great site called Vanilla. Check it out! Enjoy!
RATATOUILLE STRYCHININE 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 1 large onion, diced 3 cloves minced garlic 1 medium eggplant, cubed 1 large pepper, diced 3 small zucchini, sliced 5 tomatoes, chopped 1 1/2 cups tomato juice 1 teaspoon basil 1 teaspoon oregano salt and pepper to taste (1/4 cup strychnine ) note: for anyone who doesn’t know, strychnine is a poison (duh) Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté for 1-2 minutes then add eggplant and cook until it begins to soften. Add remaining spices and vegetables, cover, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover for last 5 minutes of cooking if you prefer a thicker stew. Serve with salad with blue cheese dressing to start, the ratatouille, and then some apple green ice cream to end the dish.
