Raw Material Guidelines

Parameters - The acts are 90% electronically driven but NOT A RAVE SHOW. Part of the artistry of the performances are constructed sound and visuals from the roots. Some of the guiding catagories are :
>Noise
>Experimental Electronic/Avant-garde
>Ambient/New Age
>Experimental Industrial (processing other than distorted guitars)
>Progressive
>Electronic Jazz Fusion
>Computer Music
>80's Synth-Pop
Groups that usually use acoustic drums are encouraged to incorporate an electronic kit instead.

Applications - The application is downloadable below. It's to be filled out completely and mailed in as soon as possible please or dropped-off at sponsoring locations. Email us with your location of deposit.

Commitee - A 3 to 5 person commitee will be assembled in May the year of the show. The commitee will be assigned to design, promotion/advertising, public relations, artist relations, logistics and other duties.

In Store Displays - Selected local stores will be displaying, in a special display, artists that are to perform at the show. We encourage all acts to contribute to this cause. Contact the committee for info.

Structure/Light and Media Artists - Visual artists are always welcome to participate in the venue design. Multi-media contributions need to be reviewed for context. Light Structures are to be 5'x5' base/10' high max. and 3'x3' base/4' high min.,. Also must be illuminated. Contact us for further details.

The Big Meeting - A meeting will be held five weeks before the show date. All local personnel, including all artists (audio/visual) are asked to attend the important gathering. This is when everyone is distributed flyers and gets to network as well as solve any concerns.

Other Venues - Besides the main venue, other locations will be available such as record stores, cafes and coffehouses, ect. for solo performances. Artists can perform at more that one show per venue if time allows.

Recording the Show - Documenting the show is greatly encourged. Video, photography, and audio media are welcome. The acts are usually digitally recorded with consent from the acts.

Photography - The best way to photograph the show is using a camera with a tripod,time-exposer cable, and flash. Set camera on a stable foundation, set flash accordingly, and (click) open the shutter for approx. 8-15 seconds. Experiment with different settings.

Artists' Recording Selling - A table will be set-up for selling and distributing material.

Video and slide - Using visual mediums are encouraged but previewing material for content is required. This is a family show.

Costumes - Some acts wear costumes so feel free to be festive...acts and audience alike.
