Piper

This girl was born on April 24 of 1983. She was just turning 18. Her name was Piper Olsen. She had long dark blonde hair, turquoise colored eyes and she was about 5’6”. She thought her life sucked; bad. And in a way, it did. Piper’s parents wouldn’t take such good care of her and at times she wanted to harm herself. The only place she felt safe was in her room and on her computer.
One night, she got a message from someone. They began to talk and she realized that he seemed like someone she could really talk to. And he was. His name was Corey Baker and he was 18 just like Piper was.
After about a month, Piper had a feeling of “more than friends” towards Corey. He did as well. They really wanted to meet each other and thought they could. So, Corey booked a plane ticket to where Piper lived.
The next day, Corey arrived at the airport. Piper saw him step off the airplane and called out his name. As he turned around, he saw her standing before him, with a smile on her face. He dropped his bags and ran at her, holding her in his sweet embrace. “I’m so happy you came!” were the words from her lips. Before any other words were said, he pressed his lips against hers, kissing her sweetly.
That weekend, they spent every waking moment together. They did everything together too. Except sex. That was something they weren’t planning.
It was their last day together, and Corey wanted to plan something special for them. So, he took Piper out to the beach. It was a clear night, but a little chilly. They sat on the sand, having a sweet candle lit dinner that Corey had made. Piper was amazed at how sweet Corey was.
The next morning, Corey left before Piper woke up. He left her a sweet note saying:

Dear Piper,
I’ll miss you so much while I’m gone. I’ll come back and visit you as often as I can. I promise you that! Just always remember that I love you baby!
Love, Corey

When Piper woke up, the note and a red rose was sitting on her pillow. She opened her eyes, focused and looked around, seeing Corey no where. She read the note, and a tear slipped down her cheek. She knew she was in love and she knew she was going to miss him.
Corey and Piper would see each other every weekend. It went on for a year before Corey told her that he was moving to where she lived. Piper suggested that he move in with her. He liked the idea and did move in with her.
One night, over a nice dinner, Corey told Piper how much he loved her. He then pulled out a ring and looked her in the eyes, got down on one knee and said, “Piper Olsen, will you marry me?” Tears rolled down her cheeks. She smiled, and said “yes I will.” A few months later, they got married.
Although they were young, they believed their love was true and pure. Nothing stopped them from getting married. They refused to have children. Piper and Corey were both only 18 years old.
Four years passed and Piper was pregnant. She would be due in 11 weeks. Corey was at home, doing some paper work and Piper was just coming back from grocery shopping. She was driving and listening to music...    Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Corey got up to open it. Two police men stood in the doorway, hats to their chests.
“What’s going on?” Corey asked them, getting worried. They stepped inside the house.
“Mr. Baker....We’re sorry to tell you that your wife, Piper Olsen, was n a car accident. She snapped her neck,” a cop told him. Corey’s eyes filled with tears.
“We’re very sorry Mr. Baker,” the other cop said. Corey dropped onto his knees, crying hard.
“I was supposed to have a baby girl! This can’t happen!” He said between sobs. The two cops gave him looks of sympathy.
A few minutes later, the two cops left. Corey was still on the floor on his knees, head to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. He brought his head up to look at the ceiling, praying to God that Piper wasn’t gone. She was really.....gone.

“Here lies Piper Rebecca Olsen Baker. April 24, 1983 – June 30, 2001. May she rest in peace and let her spirit live and rise above us all forever.” read her tombstone. Corey let tears of depression slip down his cheeks. He dropped some white and red roses on her grave. He knew that she would always be there, watching over him. Forever.
