What's happened to the family?

Nick and his sister B.J used to be very close, but it seems that these days they hardly see each other. She is currently studying drama at college in L.A.

I have no proof that Nick actually wrote this poem, but apparently he did, I found it on the internet. I think it's a really beautiful poem, and it's such a shame they have drifted apart.

Sister

For Bobbie Jean,
best sister a guy could ever have.
you are the sister of my heart....even tough we're born to years apart.
But born to the same sensibilities, emotions, desires, dreams.
Raised differently,
but yet so much alike in thought.
Our hearts and minds draw us closer to each other.
Share with me your secrets, your laughter and pain
and I will share mine with you.
Ever trustful, and confident that your secret are safe with me
your deepest thought are forever safelocked away within our minds.
We are lifelines to one another, clinging precariously to the thread
that protects us from the cruilties of reality.
Reach out to me, I will catch you.
I'll be with you when you need me.
I'll be your safety net, your ballast against the storm.
How can I ever repay you sis?
For the many hours you listened to my words,
my thoughts.
You were my ally in the vestiges of war
A place I could go where I knew I would be safe from reproach comfortable in the warmth of your friendship
Thank you my sister, my friend!
Love, Nick!

"My sister and I used to play with frogs on top of our heads! We got into
some paint one time! We painting each other...and so we had to take a bath
in one of those little swimming pools. We, me and B.J., used to get into so
much mischief, it was so funny.

One of my favorite things to do in the backyard was go swimming on the
hammock. I'd have her on it, and twist her up in it, let her go and watch
her spin. She kept spinning and she'd get all dizzy and tell mom. This was a
big backyard and the senior citizens really didn't care. Another thing my
sister and I liked to do was sword fight with wood sticks. We would do that
all the time. We got friendly with a few of the older people. My sister got
really close to a woman named Millie, then Millie passed away. They used to
be real good friends; Millie would buy her stuff. Being around older people,
I learned to respect people and that also helped me."

I just love this picture!!!
