The next day, we all piled into Sarah's car to head to the carnival. We were so excited to see the all the guys that we left a half an hour earlier than we would normally. We got to the entrance, and saw 5 guys standing there.
"Ahh! There's Lance!" Melanie said a little loud as the whole line of people waiting to get tickets looked back at her. "Sorry, I'm just excited to see him!" Melanie said.
"God girl, you just saw him less than 24 hours ago!" Sarah said.
"Well...oh forget it. I can't win this!" Melanie answered as we all laughed at her and Chris was signaling for us to come over to him.
Everyone started walking at a steadier place until we reached the guys. "Hey everyone!" Justin said as he paused for a moment and looked over at me, right in the eyes. "Hi Jessie."
I felt like I was in a trance and couldn't be snapped out of it as my eyes were focused right on him. "Hi Justin," I said softly as Tara elbowed me to whisper, "Wake up from this dream you're having about Justin, which I personally don't want to know what you were thinking about, and talk to the rest of us before anyone notices."
I looked up and noticed everyone was already talking to each other which released the tension between us during that moment.
"Ok, what are we waiting for?" Joey asked as he grabbed Tara's hand to rush to the gates.
"We might as well follow them," Lance said as he looked at Melanie and they rushed off.
"Come on guys," Sarah said. "I'm ready to have some fun!"
We bought our tickets and went into the mass of people already inside. It was very big, considering it was just a carnival. We gathered on one side and talked over what we were going to do.
"Well, all I know is I'm hungry!" Joey said.
"And when are you NOT hungry? You just ate in the car on the way here!" JC said shaking his head and laughing.
"Well, me and Joey will go eat and we'll meet up back here at 9:30!" Tara said.
"9:30?!" Sarah asked. "That's 4 and a half hours!"
Joey replied by saying, "...And your point is??"
"Fine, whatever, bye guys!" Tara said as her and Joey rushed off.
"Wow, Joey must really not like you!" I said as we all laughed.
"Well, I think me and Lance wanted to go on a rollercoaster, right Lance?" Melanie asked.
"Wha...oh, ok, yeah guys, bye!" Lance said as we could all tell they just wanted to be alone.
"Well, I guess you girls are stuck with us!" Chris said.
Sarah mumbled, "Oh, aren't we lucky?! So anyways, what do you want to do?"
"How about...I dunno, let's go play some games!" Justin said.
Everyone agreed as we headed of towards that direction. An hour later, Sarah had collected 3 teddy bears, a stuffed horse, a blow-up football, and 2 goldfish as I had 2 teddy bears, 1 stuffed dog, A giant monkey, and a beach ball. Those guys really know how to throw those balls into the cans! We were walking back to the food area to get something to eat when Justin and JC, being the nice gentlemen they are, decided they would take all of our stuff to their car since we could barely carry it! The guys got back as we ordered are food and got done at about 7:30.
"Well, I wanna go on a rollercoaster!" Sarah said.
"Yeah! Me too man! I wanna go on that one that goes upside down and..." as Chris went on and on.
"I guess I'll go too!" JC said.
"Well, I kind of wanted to go on the ferris wheel," I said.
"Well, I'll go with you," Justin said.
"Um...ok," I said.
We all went our seprate ways as me and Justin waited in line for the ferris wheel. The ride went by rather quickly, but I did get to find out a little about him. It started raining shortly after we got off of the ferris wheel. Justin grabbed my hand and we went under a big umbrella with hot dog, cotton candy, and popcorn stands underneath so we wouldn't get wet. We sat there for about 5 minutes and the rain started to die down a little. All the sudden, a song came over the radio. It was Monica's "Angel of Mine".
Justin looked right at me and asked, "Would you like to dance," as he took a step back towards the outside of the umbrella.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Out there," he said, pointing.
"In the rain?" I asked.
"Yes, come on!" he said with those pleading eyes, pulling me outside.
He looked me in the eyes and put his arms on my waist. I slowly raised my hands to put them around his neck. I put my head down on his shoulder, and could feel his breath on my neck as it gave me the good bumps. My heart was beating rapidly as I pulled away and brought one of my hands up to run them through his wet hair. I seemed to get lost in his eyes, and it didn't matter that we were soaking wet. Justin slowly moved his head closer to mine and I realized I didn't back my head away. It was like a magnetic force was pulling me towards him, slowly and softly, his lips touched mine. They felt like a feather, so light. But slowly, his lips put more pressure on mine, as we got deeper and deeper into the kiss as we stopped dancing. My eyes were closed the whole time, it all felt like a dream. After a couple minutes, we pulled away, breathless. I suddenly looked away from Justin, as I felt his eyes focusing in on me. I looked around and saw we gathered an audience as my face turned a shade of dark red. I looked back at Justin and before we could say or do anything, someone tapped me on the back.
I turned around to see JC with Joey, Sarah and Tara. Tara was behind them all giving me a thumbs up sign and Sarah and Joey had huge grins on their faces. I was guessing they had all seen the kiss, but JC seemed normal. He looked at us like we were crazy, after all, we were sopping wet.
"What are you guys doing? It's pouring rain outside and you're standing out there! Come on, I think I have some towels in my car," JC said as he turned around to leave. As he was walking, none of the rest of us moved. I looked at Justin and saw that he had some sort of a relieved look on his face, as Joey did, too.
"What?" Sarah, Tara and I all said, simeltaniously.
"We're just happy JC didn't see that," Joey said.
"Why?" Tara asked.
"Because, JC is really protective over ALL of us, so we're pretty sure he would be over you too. And, I really don't think he would like to see one of his best friends kissing his newly-found sister," Joey finished.
