Joey and Chris were clowning around when JC tapped him.
"Hey man, she called your number," JC said.
Chris looked crushed as Joey hopped off his chair and headed to the other side of the wall. Nothing could prepare him for what was waiting there.
"Joey!" Jaime' exclaimed as she threw her arms around his neck, "This is pretty amazing isn't it?" she whispered in his ear.
"Amazing is not the word," Joey said as he looked at Alli. She stood there looking shocked.
"Thanks so much for tuning in to CHEMISTRY. Be sure to tune in to our follow up show to see how their dates went," Jill said as Lance and Justin joined them on the stage.
"We're gonna leave you today with a very special song performance from *NSYNC," Alli read from the cue card.
The music started and the guys started singing.
"I feel numb," Alli told Jill.
"Don't worry about it, nothing's gonna happen," Jill reassured her.
The lights faded as the guys finished the song.
"Great show, girls!" Jeff's voice snapped Alli back to reality.
"Thanks!" Jill said answering for the both of them.
"Management is very pleased with the outcome and wants the two of you to stay a little late to tape some promotional spots for the network that will start running tonight," Jeff continued.
"Wow, that's really great guys!" Candice said.
"Yeah, it is great," Alli said half-heartedly.
She looked over where the guys were standing and saw Joey deep in conversation with Chris. He was suddenly interrupted by Jaime'.
"So Joey, we have $200 to spend on tomorrow night's date and I've come up with a few ideas," she said excitedly.
"Sure, what did you have in mind?" Joey asked, trying to be a good sport about the whole situation.
"Can she get any closer?" Alli asked Jill as they watched Jaime' drool over Joey.
"I don't think so," Jill said laughing.
"Hello ladies," they heard behind them.
"Hey baby," Jill said kissing JC, "I'm sorry you didn't get picked."
"I'm not. Now I get to spend all day with my girl," he said, hugging Jill.
"Ugh, you two make me sick!" Alli said as she turned to walk away. She ran right into Chris.
"Hey beautiful," Chris said.
"Hey Chris, thanks for doing the show," she said.
"No problem. Can I talk to you?" he asked.
"What's up?"
"Well, I talked to Joey and since he has to go on this little date tomorrow he doesn't want you to be alone. I volunteered to take you out tomorrow night if that's okay," he said smiling.
"Oh, that's really sweet," Alli said.
"So," Chris continued, "I guess it's a date?"
"Sure, why not?"
"You can double with us," Jill offered.
"Thanks," Alli said relieved.
"So, what do you think?" Jaime' was asking Joey.
"About what?" he asked. He had been watching Alli and Chris and hadn't heard what Jaime' had asked.
"What do you think about my plans, silly!" Jaime' said shoving Joey playfully.
"I don't know, why don't I call you tonight?" Joey asked.
"Great!" Jaime' said as Andie and Jenn approached them.
"Hey girl, do you need a ride to work?" Andie was asking.
"Yeah, let's go," Jaime' said after she handed Joey her number.
The three of them headed towards the door.
"It's so amazing how we lucked out!" Jenn said excitedly.
"I know, I never expected Justin to be on the other side of that wall," Andie agreed.
"I wasn't surprised at all," Jaime' said, "I knew it was Joey the whole time."
Andie and Jenn looked at her in disbelief.
"How could you have known?" Jenn asked.
"Easy. Some stagehand left his production notes in the green room and I read them. I knew Joey was bachelor number one the whole time," Jaime' said smiling.
