"Hey, isn't that Chris?" Andie asked as they walked up to buy their tickets.
"Yeah, it is," JC said.
They walked over to where Chris was standing. He seemed to be alone.
"Hey man, what's up?" Justin asked, "Who are you here with?"
"I was here with my sister but she ditched me to go with her friends," Chris told them.
"Aw, that's sad," Andie said, "Hey, you can hang with us!"
"Yeah man, come with us," Joey said.
They headed into the theater and went to sit down. There was some confusion on who was sitting together.
"Hey Chris, why don't you sit next to Jenn," Jill suggested.
"Okay, do you mind if I'm your date for the night?" Chris asked Jenn.
"No, that's cool with me," Jenn said smiling.
"Do you want some popcorn or something?" Chris asked her.
"Sure," she replied.
"Hey man, come with me," Chris said to Justin.
They returned a few minutes later with two big tubs of popcorn.
"Good lord, I hope you were planning on sharing that with everyone!" Alli said.
"No, this is for me and my date," Chris said smiling at Jenn.
The lights dimmed and the movie started. Jenn went to get a handful of popcorn and brushed hands with Chris. She looked up to see Chris staring at her.
"Sorry," she whispered.
"No problem," he whispered back.
They watched the rest of the movie in silence. When it was over they all got up to leave.
"That's the last time we let Joey pick the movie," Jill said.
"I know, how many buildings blew up in the first five minutes?" Alli asked.
"Hey, it was good!" Joey said trying to defend his choice.
"Just cuz it wasn't a chick flick, doesn't mean it sucked," JC told them.
"Should we beat them up here or wait til we get home?" Alli asked Jill.
"Let's wait til we get home, we don't want to embarrass them here," Jill said laughing.
Jenn was walking down the steps with Andie following her. She spotted Lance at the door. She walked towards him then realized he wasn't alone. She stopped dead in her tracks.
"Whoa, why did you stop?" Andie asked practically running into Jenn.
Jenn couldn't say a word. She just pointed in Lance's direction.
"What the hell?" Andie said out loud when she saw Lance wrap his arm around the beautiful blond haired girl he was with.
"I don't know, but I'm about to find out," Jenn said as she walked over to Lance.
Andie grabbed Justin's hand and followed quickly.
"Hey Lance," Jenn said when she got to him.
"Jenn!" he said looking shocked to see her.
Lance gave Jenn a hug and squeezed her tightly. He went to kiss her and she turned her head, causing him to kiss her cheek.
"Who else is here?" Lance asked confused by Jenn's behavior.
"My sister, Alli, Andie and the rest of the guys," Jenn replied coldly, "So, who's your friend?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, Jenn, this is my cousin Caitlyn," Lance said as he introduced them, "She came down to visit for a few days. She's gonna be graduating in May and was here checking out a few colleges this weekend."
Jenn's eyes widened and her face suddenly got hot. "How could I have been so stupid?" she asked herself.
"Hey Caitlyn," Justin said hugging her.
"It's nice to meet you Jenn and Andie, I hope we can all get together while I'm here," Caitlyn said.
"Sure, that would be great," Jenn said still feeling embarrassed about her behavior.
"Are y'all ready to go yet?" Jill asked coming up behind them.
"Yeah, we're ready," Andie told her, "Come on Jenn."
"Jenn," Lance said following her, "I'll call you tomorrow, okay?"
Jenn pulled Lance to her and kissed him, "I'll be waiting by the phone," she said smiling.
