One Year Later
Justin laid down on the picnic next to his wife Rachel, "How's business going Lance?"
Lance smiled, "Great, wouldn't you say Rachel?"
Rachel beamed, "Poles say FreeLance Entertainment is the leading in the business. I'm surprised North Carolina has so much talent! But this is what I have always wanted to do! I'm so glad you moved here and we started it! And now I live just next door to my two best friends!"
Nikki smiled, "I'm glad too!"
Justin took out four champagne glasses and filled them, "I propose a toast the two best married couples and friends!"
Rachel took a sip, "Take a sip Nikki!"
"I can't," Nikki said uneasily and set the glass down.
Rachel would have been concerned but she saw Lance smile, "Why not Nik?"
"Cause I'm pregnant!" Nikki smiled.
"OMG!" Rachel squealed.
"That's great Nikki!" Justin smiled.
Rachel hugged Nikki, "That's so great!"
Justin and Lance smiled as they watched Nikki and Rachel chat excitedly about baby things.
"Daddy, I wanna play wit you!" James said as he wadled over.
"He's a stud Justin," Lance smiled.
"He's pretty cute isn't he?" Justin laughed as he scooped up James in his arms, "Why don't you just sit down right now sport!"
"Nonsense!" Nikki entered the conversation, "Come on James! Lance and I'll play with you! We need practice anyway!"
Lance chuckled and picked up James, "Come on JR!"
Rachel smiled as she watched Lance and Nikki run off with James to play with him.
"It's great she's pregnant! They'll make great parents! They are so in love!" Rachel sighed.
Justin turned her cheek so she was looking at him, "Well, so are we ya know."
Rachel smiled, "I know!"
Justin kissed her deeply then pulled back to look in her eyes, "Are you truly happy Rachel?"
Rachel took a deep breath before smiling again, "Finally Justin, I can say I am. More than words could ever tell you, more than words."
