Alyssa adjusted the bags on her shoulder, looking in the mirror one last time. She glanced around the hotel room making sure she had collected all of her stuff. She sighed looking at the yellow roses Justin had bought her. There was no way she could have fit them in her bag, and she hated having to just leave them here. thinking a moment she picked up two of the roses. She tucked one in her purse, and the other she cradled in her hand.
Alyssa's eyes closed softly, a she snuggled into the back of her seat as much as possible. Her lips were pursed together, the tips of her eyelashes almost touching her cheeks. The front of her hair had been pulled up, the rest curly all around her face. Her body was tensed, and she tried to relax and forget about all of her souroundings, and the commotion in the aisle of people trying to get to their seats so the plane could take off. She moved again when someone sat down beside her. She sighed never opening her eyes, adjusting her figure to where she turned to the window, and not to the once vacant seat.
"This seat isnt taken is it?" Her eyes slowly opened as she turned back around staring Justin dead in the face,
"No...I was just going to catch up on a little sleep. You don't mind do you?" She asked, pulling her legs up to where they barely touched her seat belt.
"Of course not, that dosen't sound like a bad idea actually," he gave a lazy grin reaching his hand up, and taking out 2 pillows, and 2 blankets from the over head compartment.
"Thanks..." She whispered folding the blanket around her, and tucking the pillow between the seat and the window. She braced herself a moment, as she felt the plane jolt as it evened out in the sky. Closing her eyes again, Alyssa finally was able to relax some. Justin watched her closley, her expression never changing. She hummed softly to herself, to a very soothing, unfamiliar tune.
"Is there any reason you're staring at me like that?" Justin jumped when she turned all of her attention to him facing him again.
"Nope, just uh go as you were..." he smiled, knowing he was getting under her skin. As she snuggled back into position he scooted a little closer to her, taking in every detail of her face.
"OK! I'm awake, I'm awake..." He laughed a little letting his hand rest on her arm. She watched as his fingers lightly grazed her skin, concentrating on his touch, and his eyes burning into her. The passion in his blue eyes drowned her in emotions, and they had a power of there own when it came to drawing her in. She couldnt help but to look up, locking her eyes with his.
"Alyssa..." he shook his head, braking their direct contact.
"Huh?"
"I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for everything that has happened. I'm sorry I couldnt stop it..." he laced his fingers with hers, squeezing her hand tightly.
"Oh, Justin," She paused, scooting a little closer to him. "Please, dont be sorry. There was nothing you could do to stop it, and you were the one that was there for me..." She could feel the tears beginning to well up in her eyes, and it was a battle to stop them from spilling over. Justin leaned down kissing the top of her head lightly.
"If I could take away all the pain I would baby. I will TRY with everything i can to take it away..." His voice had lowered to a whisper as he hugged her as close to him as he could through the seatbelts. She relaxed against him, and shook her head.
"I know you would justin. And I-I appreciate that, and i appreciate everything that you have done for me. I dont understand why you beleive in me so much, and why you do all this stuff just to make me smile...but I pray every night that you wont stop because you make me feel so special. And I love the feeling I get when you hold me and..." the tears that had threatend to brake free were rolling freely down her cheeks at this point. J
Justin raised his hand and tenderly wiped them away with his fingertips. He traced his fingers all the way down the structure of her face and kissed her cheek where it was damp with tears.
"Don't cry baby, please dont cry," His voice tickled at her ear as he whispered to her softly. She sniffled wiping at her cheeks. He watched as a single curl fell from behind her ears, covering her face. He slowly pushed it away, testing the softness of her hair in his hands.
God, you're so beautiful..." The chills that coarsed through her body were undeniable and she could feel her heart pounding against her chest. His fingers raked through her hair affectionatly his voice was gravled, but she heard the words loud and clear. "I love you Alyssa, there isnt a doubt in my mind that I love you." Although she tried to stop it, another tear slid down her cheek slowly dripping onto her hand.
"And I-" As the words were at the tips of her lips she felt her heart crumbling as she sucked them in. Justin smiled patting her hand comfortingly. He didn't want to push her, but it was still always like a punch in the stomach when he got no response from her. His ears, and his heart ached to hear the words from her, the simple words of devotion.
"Why don't you try for that sleep now?" Justin asked stroking her head lightly. She nodded her head a little snuggling into his shoulder. She unfastened her seatbelt when she noticed the captain had turned off the "seatbelt" sign. Justin sighed when he felt her arms wrap around his waist. He secured the blanket around her, his thumb rubbing across her hand in a gentle caress.
"Shhh...just go to sleep..." He whispered, clearing his throat. He started to hum softly, then whispered the lyrics as she closed her eyes.
"For the morning sun in all it's glory
greets the day with hope and comfort too
You fill my life with laughter
and somehow you make it better
ease my troubles that's what you do
There's a love that's divine
and it's yours and it's mine like the sun
And at the end of the day
we should give thanks and pray
to the one, to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one else above you
Fill my heart with gladness
take away all my sadness
ease my troubles that's what you do"
Justin leaned down placing his lips gently on the tip of her nose, kissing her softly. Her breathing had evened out, and he looked down just watching her breathe. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, and he couldnt even bring himself to close his eyes. All he wanted to do was sit there, with her in his arms...just watching her breathe.
