Here it is Chapter One:

(Melody’s POV)

It was a typical day in the house of the Music. My sister Harmony and I were just in one of the corridors waiting for our father to come out. We lived in the midst of the South in Georgia in fact. We traveled down to Florida a lot because of the recording companies down there. My sister and I lived at the house of Music. Thus, growing up in such an environment we were educated in all things related to music. Recording, singing, dancing, instruments, music videos, how to set up stage performances, etc. Our father was just not ready to give us up to the music industry yet. So we assisted with the people he dealt with and continued to learn and follow the rueful business. In our spare time performing to the small crowd of servants held here.

(Harmony’s POV)

They always loved us and profusely commented on our voices. We both loved singing and almost everything about the music industry fascinated us. We were educated and were ready for it all to come and sweep it away, it was just out father, he would not allow us to get into such a superficial world. Like the world we live in isn’t superficial already, and music has always been our best escape. He would be having one of his big fancy parties at the house tonight and all of Georgia was talking about it. I wasn’t particularly excited about it I haven’t been old enough to enjoy a lot of his parties but I have given up hope of being whisked away from my world by a music loving prince charming and brought and embraced by the world. My sister and I would be here for the party so I will go just to help make us known and maybe, doughtfully, but maybe someone will be there who can help us escape. Daddy just needs to see we can handle it and we’ll be fine.

(Melody’s POV)

The party ended up hosting some involved in the industry, we had met them all before they were nothing to us but regular people who enjoyed some of the things we did. That is why they liked talking to us I think. A few of the men were devilish eye candy that could really get hormones going and as much as music could sweep you off your feet like a prince in itself guys seemed to relinquish that and use it for their purposes. I didn’t mind I made it perfectly clear I would not be any part of sexual activity. That I was saving for my True Love. If music had taught me anything it was that if you believe anything can happen. I knew the Lord above had great things planned for Harmony and I. One of them had to be true love. I spent most of the party daydreaming as I am sure Harmony did too. We performed twice. Once as people entered I played the harp and Harmony played the flute. Our next performance was singing a old almost forgotten church hymn called, I’ll never leave thee, in English. The crowd of coarse loved us and my father took all the credit as usual. Many men spent the rest of the evening trying to establish a courtship with my sister or I. My father delivered no information to any of them. He was also a hopeless romantic and believed in everyone having there own one and only. That’s why after mom died he never even dated again. He would let us choose our own love, for we were the only rightful judge’s. All in all the party went okay but I was just happy we would be taking a day trip to an Orlando recording studio tomorrow to help write the music to go with the lyrics. Some band apparently needed our help, we didn’t mind it was easy and fun.
