“I am just so confused, I am having all these feelings for Melody…”
“You don’t want them.” AJ finished for me.
“Not exactly,” I said. “ I love Leigh, I know I do, we’re supposed to be married in September but my feelings for Melody certainly wouldn’t be unwanted if Leigh wasn’t my fiancé.”
“Do you think you love Mel?” He asked with interest, he always did love the soap opera situations…
“ I don’t know—but when we kiss…”
“-you’ve kissed?” He cut off not too surprised.
“Twice, I initiated it the second time and that scares me.”
“Did she seem to resist, even though she knows about Leigh?”
“No, but would you expect her too, we don’t normally talk about Leigh.”
“Brian, does she make you forget about Leigh?” AJ asked.
“When I am with her, but later I think about Leigh and I feel guilty.”
“Which means you have feelings for Mel that wouldn’t want Leigh to find out about…” He said, it made sense.
“It’s just sometimes when we touch, the honesty is so overwhelming and the we go on lying to ourselves and each other.”
“Sounds like you are in love with two women Rok. “ AJ noticed.
” I know”
” So what are you going to do?” AJ inquired.
“That I don’t know.”
“You better figure it out before you walk down the isle with Leigh.”
“I know.”
(Harmony’s POV)
I knew AJ and Brian were catching up so I took the opportunity to dish with Mel. She was in her room looking out her window, that melancholy look plastered to her face. I walked up and put my hand on her shoulder. She was startled and I think she thought I was someone else.
”Hey Mel.” I said, trying to sound comforting…
“OH, hi” she said and continued to look out the window.
“Mel, what’s going on?” I said a little hurt. She went over to her bed and I followed. We sat criss cross applesauce the way we always did, facing each other as kids while we shared the latest gossip about Betty, our old cook hooking up with Alfred, our old butler.
“Harmony, I’m not all that in a talkative mood right now.” She explained.
”Well I just walked past the dinning room and saw the guys talking so I take it Brian stayed the night again?”
“In the guest room” She replied.’
“Anyway, but they were talking so I figured that since we have been, busy, I thought I could catch up with you.”
“Did you hear them say anything about me?” She asked beginning to sound interested.
“no”
“Okay, so what’s going on with you?” she asked back to her previous state.
“I’m doing absolutely great, I want to hear about you, if you want to talk.”
”Not now Okay, let me sort some things out before we talk and then I’ll tell you everything.”
“Okay I love you Mel.” I said.
“ Me too.”
I got up to get a drink of water but I didn’t over hear the guys in the room still. I wish Mel would tell me what is going on with her and Brian but I know she’ll come around eventually.
