Lissa headed for Jeff's house with a purpose. To give him an authentic chance. That is what he deserved, and as his friend I should give him everything that he deserved. Then why do I feel so uncomfortable doing this? Lissa asked herself. She knew she loved Jeff, but could she see him like that...Her tears became blurry and she pulled off the road trying to stop them but they continued like a storm in the middle of the ocean. In the midst of all this she pulled out her wallet and looked at the picture of Jeff. She remembered when they first met, back at a music festival. It was her first concert. Since then he had been everything to her. He wanted the best for her in every situation. So what would he think if he saw her now. He would back out. She knew that. But did she want him too? She was perfectly happy with their friendship how it was. But she knew she couldn't go back to that if he wasn't fully satisfied. She couldn't imagine how it was for him.
She soon began to drive again but no to his house. She was going home. She couldn't face him now. The only one she could even think of facing was herself and possibly Em. But he couldn't let her do that could he? She though irrationally...as her cell phone rang and it was none other than him. "
Lissa? I thought you were coming over..." He started.
"I can't something came up." She replied almost shaking.
"Oh all right. Call me when you aren't busy." He replied the disappointment easy to detect. The tears began to fall again. Her vision became blurry again. She swerved, tired to pull off the road and then BAM!
She was bleeding. She couldn't really comprehend that for her mind was still occupied on Jeff's pain. She heard sirens and soon it was too much. She fainted.
Emily was the first to receive the call, since she shared a house with her. At the news that Lissa was in the hospital. She sped there calling Cate, Amy, Jeff, AJ, and her parents. She encouraged everyone to come down but to not expect to see her. Especially the guys, she had a feeling this was about them somehow. Going to the hospital made her think about Dave. Dave had died in a car accident. Lissa wasn't dead, she kept telling herself. She was scared shitless nonetheless. She half expected a the same doctor Dave had to tell her the same news. But when she ran in and found Lissa she had only broke her arm and fainted. The doctor recommended she see a therapist for awhile.
"Oh Lissa!" Em exclaimed running up to her best friend crying, just happy she was alive.
"Em, its okay. I am all right." Lissa lied.
"No your not." She replied knowingly, "but your alive and that is the important thing."
"Excuse me we have a couple more tests to run. Can you please wait outside?" The nurse asked. Em nodded and let go of her friend to join the rest, that were streaming in the waiting room.
"Em, is she all right?" asked Amy.
"Why are you crying? What's wrong with her?" asked Cate.
"What happened?" Asked AJ.
"Is this my fault?" Asked Jeff.
She did not respond. She just sat down crying as they continued to throw questions at her. Eventually a nurse answered them, as best as she could.
"Then why is she crying?" Wondered AJ very loudly. She gave him a glare. At that moment she was saved because the next person to walk through the door, she didn't invite but desperately needed. It was Brian. She ran up to him dramatically and wrapped her arms around him, happy to cry on someone who understood.
