“Lissa, your back!” AJ shouted excitedly as he ran up to her and hugged her. She was uncomfortable and stiff, he immediately noticed.
“Lissa, what’s goin’ on?” He asked urgently.
“AJ, I am with Jeff now.” She shared.
“WHAT?” He asked rather loudly.
“I’m sorry, we just connect.” She tried explaining.
The girls watching in the window were shocked.
“Lissa don’t tell him that.” Amy urged.
“IGIT…” Em thought aloud.
“Poor AJ.” Cate reasoned.
“So since you and Jeff are now connected then what about us, what about that night, do you expect me to just forget you?” AJ questioned.
“No, and I won’t forget you. I just need to be with Jeff right now. He has an unconditional love for me and personally I don’t see that in you.” Lissa commented.
“Lissa, how can I love you, I haven’t even known you a month. You want me to lie, is that it?” AJ responded. Lissa began to cry.
“Lissa don’t fucking cry.” He ordered.
“Do not tell me what to do.” She shot back.
“I’m sorry. I really am. I didn’t want you to cry or even feel hurt. I just wanted you to see that you and me would be the greatest thing that would ever happen to me and maybe you too… I am going to go now but I want to still be friends.” He explained. She wiped off some tears and gained the courage to just nod.
“OH no, he made her cry.” Amers noticed.
“That bastard!” Em yelled.
“Virgin ears, virgin ears.” Cate chanted.
“Virgin ears, my ass.” Amers replied as they all chuckled a bit but were tranced back into eaves dropping.
“Goodbye Lissa, I’ll never forget you or how you made me feel.” AJ said before getting into his car. It was perfect timing too because he started to cry. But everyone saw the first tear fall and knew what was going on.
“Lissa you okay?” Em asked as she entered the house.
“Yeah. It just hurts.” She explained.
“Understandable.” Amy said sitting next to her on the couch and helping her feel better with Cate’s crazy antics. Em was about to join them when she heard a noise coming from outside.
“I’ll be right back.” She whispered to the occupied group. When she was outside, she saw Megs was too, but she acted like she hadn’t heard anything.
“Megs, did you hear anything out here?” Em asked.
“Not since the fight.” She replied honestly. Em looked around to face her bedroom window from the driveway and screamed as she saw a familiar smiling face in the window.
“DAVE!” She shouted once more as he disappeared with an evil smile as she collapsed in tears in the driveway. Megs ran to her side very confused.
