If Only In My Dreams Chapter 6
The girls enjoyed themselves watching the guys (EN: Who wouldn't? *giggles*). While the guys were all kind of nervous. The boys of Backstreet weren't as nervous for obvious reasons but still they each possessed the need to please their fans and wanted to wow these girls they just met.
Cate was particularly looking at Nick Carter, she surprised herself considering she had just previously thought she would go for Nick Lachey.
Jeff was also confused about his feelings for Lissa. he knew he liked her and didn't want anyone else but he wasn't sure if he was going to hurt their friendship by presenting to her his feelings.
Lissa being oblivious to this had starting eyeing the rude AJ McLean in a different sense. he is hotter than hell, she thought. Smiling to herself as she mentally undressed him.
(EN: Lissa you Pervert!)_(thanks Em!)
Amy was daydreaming about her ex-boyfriend Roger (EN: Isn't that a funny name? Poor Amers). He had dumped her for another girl but he still stole her thoughts occasionally.
Emily had successfully pushed Dave out of her mind by concentrating on the dance steps of the boys on stage. All who had at least one lust worthy body part.
(EN: It's okay Lissa, you aren't the only Pervert.)
The practice ended up being excellent and the girls provided the poor nervous wrecks on stage with a standing ovation. The girls went into a sprae dressing room to put on their night attire before the party. They each looked marvelous in their own unique way.
The party was formal and kind of boring until the guys performed. After that the DJ came out and the fun began. Lissa was immediately asked to go to the floor by Mr. McLean and accepted intrigued by the interesting man who had earlier hit on her. Amy sat at the table drinking vodka straight up, totally willing to get drunk if that meant the thoughts of Roger would disappear. Kevin sat besides her also drinking to a considerable amount to get his mind off things, one of them being Kristin, his ex-fiance. Cate was still torn between the Nicks but considering Carter was a better dancer she stayed on the floor with him. Emily had danced a couple times, once with Drew, once with Brian, and once with the girls
(EN: before you all take that the wrong way, its a circle type thing where the girls just do their own thing.) She now sat on the chair half asleep at the same table as the drunken Amers and Kevin. They soon left together leaving Em alone with Brian, who claimed he had danced twice and that was enough. He took her out of her daze by starting a conversation. She attempted to pay attention but that soon drifted also as a familiar song hit the speakers. It was the song Dave and her had danced to the night before he died.
Take My Breath Away
Watching every motion in my foolish lovers game
On this endless ocean finally lovers know no shame
Turning and returing to some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion as you turn around and say
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Watching I keep waiting still anticipating love
Never hesitating to become the fated ones
Turning and returning to that secret place to hide
Watching in slow motion as you turn to me and say
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Through the hourglass I saw you
In time you slipped away
When the mirror crashed I called you
And turned to hear you say if only for today I am unafraid
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Watching every motion in this foolish lovers game
Haunted by the notion somewhere ther is a love in flames
Turning and returning to the secret place inside
Watching in slow motion
As you turn my way and say
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
As the song ended, Lissa ran to the now crying Em, suddenly remembering the song's signifigance. Brian was quite confused but was doing all he could to keep the crying woman happy.
"You need me to take you home?" Lissa offered her friend genuinely worried.
"No,stay have fun, I don't want to ruin your night. I'll be okay." Em said attempting to gain control of herself.
"I can take her home, if that's where she wants to go." Brian offered feeling useless. She nodded in response.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" Lissa asked Brian. He nodded and she escorted him to the nearest empty table.
"Here's the address. Listen do you think you can stay with her until we get home. I don't want her home alone." She asked.
"Sure , is she okay?"
"I hope so."
"May I ask what's going on?" He questioned.
"She'll tell you, I really don't feel comfortable saying." Lissa proclaimed.
He understood and they returned to the table where Em had stopped crying although she still looked like she may break down any moment.
Lissa and Em said Bye and hugged before Brian took her to his car. As they left Lissa informed Cate and wondered where Amy went.
~*In the car*~
"Are you okay?" Brian asked. Emily nodded softly and bit her lip to keep a slight cry from escaping her lips.
"Lissa asked me to say with you until she gets home, you don't mind do you?" He questioned.
"No" she simply said. The rest of the ride was silent. He was worried and felt rather depressed at the site of the girl he just met in such emotional turmoil, for some atrange reason he felt compelled to do everything in his power to make it better. Once they entered the house they shared a couch and both sipped freshly make tea.
"Can you possibly tell me why you were crying?" he asked.
"Are you sure you want to know?" she asked perfectly ready to let it all out. He nodded.
"That song was relevant to me because of my ex-boyfriend. He was my first and only love. i would have done anything for him and I knew he felt the same of me. We danced to that song the night before he was killed by a drunk driver on the way to pick me up for a date. I'm past blaming myself but I miss him so much." She passionately explained. He pulled her into a hug as he noticed her eyes start to water again.
