Chapter 3: Unwanted Memories...

The next day at work, Hannah and I met the woman who would be Carly, Leighanne Wallace. She was beautiful and carried herself well. I could tell she was perfect for the part.

“Hello Leigh, can I call you that?” I asked. She nodded, “All right! GREAT! I’m Emily and this is Hannah, we are the minds behind this mess.” I shared. Hannah smiled, nodded and continued to drink her coffee.

“Nice to meet you.” She said. I gave her a tour and some insight on her character while Hannah checked the script for errors. So they could get next weeks load early. Leigh was cool. Definitely what we needed. We filmed 2 episodes a day, since vacation time was coming up. I needed to take off a week to visit Kentucky and most of the cast seemed to be working hard enough for one, too. We would goon after break until the end of April. Hannah and I would write more shows and we would start shooting in July. I had conned Hannah into going to Kentucky with me so I wouldn’t have to deal with my alcoholic father as much since I couldn’t stay with Jackie. They had a wedding to run even though she promised to help as much as possible. I hoped I would see Brian, catch up a little. He was such a great guy. I admit our past was confusing as hell but we are adults now so it shouldn’t be difficult, right? I hoped so, not many people hold my interest but he’s had mine since we were youngsters. Hannah took me out of my escape form the world and we filmed all day. Since it was so long, I didn’t get to call Jackie. So Hannah and I lounged in our Jacuzzi reminiscing.

“I can’t help it, I miss him, he was one of my best friends, you can’t tell me you don’t miss AJ.” I shared.

“I do, trust me but I don’t think it would be wise for us to meet up again. It would be awkward and I’m not sure we could get passed that.” She explained.

“ maybe your right. Brian’s bound to be at Harold’s wedding maybe he’ll bring AJ. Either way I’ll have to face him too.” I said. She shrugged. Bringing up the past obviously wasn’t getting us anywhere.

“Ever feel like life is a never-ending soap opera?” I commented as we were about to retreat to our own rooms.

“Amen to that sister!” she exclaimed. (
