Emily sat on her bed thinking about her conversation with Brian, ready to cry but unwilling. She quickly shoved all that aside as Jackee came upstairs.
"What did AJ want? She quickly asked. Jackee noticed it but chose to just answer her question.
" We are meeting for dinner tomorrow night. You know, to talk things out." She said unhappily.
"I am so sorry. Maybes it'll turn out okay." Em reasoned.
"You are a naïve little girl, but I love you anyway." Jackee commented, "Okay now tell me what Brian said on the phone. It seems to have you a little shaken." Jax noticed. Em nodded.
"He decided that it would be better if we didn't talk anymore or see each other." She shared. Jackee looked at her friend appalled.
"HE SAID WHAT?" She asked loudly immediately angry.
"He has a girlfriend Jackee, and he told me, and I forgot once I begin to fall for him; now he reminded me and told me that he loves her and can't ruin that for some fling on the beach. I don't blame him. But I hope he knows that I am not going to give him up that easily." Em stated firmly.
"That's My girl!" exclaimed Jackee hugging her friend.
"Thanks, I know what we should do tonight, lets go to McDonalds, get greasy fries and not feel an ounce of guilt!" Em proclaimed.
"WOOOHOOO!" Jackee said dancing around. Its strange how you act when you are with your best friend, she thought, but when you have been through so much, it doesn't matter.
"You mean WoooHoooT, you must have forgotten about Alfred, my imaginary pet owl." Em corrected. They laughed and walked to the nearest M. D.s to pig out on life's needs- McFlurrys, Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and Cheese burgers. (EN: I have no idea what Jackee gets there, or if she even eats there, but for the sake of the story YOU do, sorry Jax!) The night of feasting went well besides two upset tummies but that was no biggie.
The next day Em awoke with a mission. She left Jax a note giving minor detail of her whereabouts:
Dear Jax, Be Back Soon. I know I have to help you get ready but I have to talk with a certain someone for a little bit.
Love YOU 4ever babes! -Em
She then left for a different house than Brian's and headed to AJ's home which was about an hour away. She quickly mustered up some courage and knocked on his door. His maid was convinced that she was some teenybopper that managed to get here but Em quickly gave her some info on AJ that the fans did not yet know about. His new girlfriend, to almost girlfriend in this case. The maid let her in and she walked into a fab rec. room where AJ was sitting on the couch with a pen in hand scribbling away at his notebook. He was in a cowprint robe and actually looked oddly distinguished.
"Hello Alexander." Em said with a straight face, (EN: And that would take a lot!) he quickly turned surprised.
"I suppose it is time we had a little chat." She announced.
"Brenda, did you let her in here." AJ chastised his maid.
"You tie up your own lose ends, we talked about this." She replied. He ignored her and went back to his guest.
"I'm very sorry but I am in no mood for guests." He shared. "
Its okay AJ, she doesn't know I am here." She shared.
"I see, what do you want then?" He questioned.
"a couple things, the first being a promise." She explained.
"Emily, darling I do not owe you anything let alone a promise." He retaliated.
"Its not what you owe me. I like you AJ, I really think that you and Jax could last. And that feels my heart with JOY but I want you to promise me that you will never intentionally hurt her." Em told.
"Well sometimes you have to do what you have to do." He whispered looking down.
"And sometimes you can control what happens, all I ask is for you to not hurt her on purpose." Em explained walking toward him on the couch, she soon sat on the edge of the coffee table in front of her.
Trying not to concentrate on the wonderful decorating but the issue she came here for. She looked down too. He liked Jax, even enough to think it could grow into love. He broke up with the girl she didn't even know he was with for her, so why not agree to the stupid promise.
"All right, I promise. Is there anything else?" He asked.
"Just one more thing but I need to trust you first." She shared. He looked at her strangely, yes this girl was best buds with Jackee, the new owner of his heart, but to establish a friendship with her was another thing entirely, either way he thought he should try.
"You got that too I guess." He said.
"I want Brian and I need your help." She stated firmly. He began to laugh at her bluntness. She gave him a quick glare.
"Sorry, a lot of people want Brian though, what makes you any different?" he asked happy to have the control in his hands.
"Well, Mr. McLean, I think you should know by now that I am different from a lot of people and the fact he called to tell me he doesn't think we should be talking anymore about 3 hours after he chased me down for his underwear and I kissed him." She spat out confusing poor AJ.
"What?" He asked.
"I was at his house and I needed clothes for the day so we were going through his to find stuff that fit and I took a pair of boxers and he chased me down and he had me tackled basically and I kissed him." She confided with a smile. He couldn't help but feel sorry for this girl. She was pretty nice, but she had a slim to none chance with Brian.
"I'll help you after you talk to him." He said deciding that he would need time think.
"Thanks AJ" She said giving him a half smile before leaving to return to her mission.
"Hey Brenda come here." He ordered. She came.
"Yes Bone" She said.
"You think that the girl that was just here has a chance with B-rok?" He asked. She smiled.
"Maybe." She said, " She would have better chance if she had a boob job though." She recommended.
"Yeah, Bri is into tits for some strange reason isn't he?" AJ commented laughing.

Brian sat alone staring at the TV that wasn't on, waiting for something, anything. Maybe his girlfriend would call, although that wasn't likely. She had given up on him long ago, not that he blamed her but even this wasn't right. He knew that much but what was he going to do. To sit here and yell at himself and wonder what was right or follow his heart neither seemed logical. Then he was interrupted by one of his "problems". She looked so pretty and the fact that she was standing in his doorway even after what he said it meant a lot whether he would admit it or not. He reluctantly answered the door. She quietly stepped into the white entryway and they both quickly felt their bodies react to seeing, smelling, and even hearing each other.
"Brian, I think we need to talk." She practically whispered. He nodded sutily. He didn't want to face her now, yet he didn't want her gone. He led her to his empty living room where it was quite obvious that he had done nothing all day. The sat there looking at each other for a good ten minutes before he broke the silent eye contact. He could drown in her eyes, and felt like he had already but what good was that doing either of them.
"You said we needed to talk, I think you should tell me what you wanted to say." He stated rather rudely and systematically. She quickly gave him a false smile as she brushed aside the need to slap and him and began to tell him what was on her mind before he was so rude.
" You called me last night with the intention of putting me out of your life is that correct?" She questioned him. He nodded slowly as if it pained him to do so, which it did.
" Well I came here with the intention of reversing that." She said smiling. He looked at her with a grim look on his face but hope in his heart and eyes. How he wished she could convince him that being with her was the way to be.
" I understand that you are currently involved with someone at the moment, someone you might even love. But Brian, we weren't dating. I kissed you but if it didn't mean anything then I am sure she will understand. That does not mean you terminate whatever sort of friendship we had going." She explained. He listened intently with no intention of speaking until she stated the second to the last statement. Then he began to talk without realization, he didn't want to tell her anything but what was the use of covering it up now. Too many hearts were at stake here.
" The kiss- it did mean something. Something it isn't supposed to mean if you are dating someone. That evening, it wasn't right for us to lay there holding each other, I shouldn't do that. I don't blame you. But I can't be around you." He explained. She was quickly taken aback and swept away at the same time by his comments.
" Brian I am not blaming you but did you even consider that maybe I wanted you to hold me or maybe I wanted you to kiss me back? I am sitting here because I fell for you and I refuse to let go even if that means we are only friends. I want to know you, everything about you, and when I need a friend I want to call you and then feel better. I want something, you can not tell me that you really mean to kill anything that happened since we met?" Em questioned.
"What about my girlfriend?" He asked.
"Let go of your moral dilemma for a minute and look at me." She demanded. He obeyed.
"Now, close your eyes." She ordered. He again obeyed. She took his hand in hers.
"Tell me now what your heart is telling you." She asked with passion. He didn't answer but slowly leant in and kissed her.
