Supposedly, at a college in the state of(name changed often), a girl was studying late and went back to her dorm room to get some books or notes. So she wouldn’t disturb her roommate, she didn’t turn on the lights when she got her stuff off of her desk. Later when she went back to her room, she found her roommate dead and a note written in lipstick on the mirror. It said, "Aren’t you glad you didn’t turn on the light?" This legend has sooo many variations. It varies on the college, the way the roomate was killed, where the note was written, and what it was written in. In the movie Urban Legend, a girl is murdered in this general way; a girl comes home and hears her roomate before hitting the light switch. She thinks her roomate is "busy" w/ a guy, so she keeps the lights off. In reality, her roomate was really being choked to death and the noises were her strugles to get free as she was dying. In the morning, the message is written the roomate's blood over the doorway. Its all very gory (and sickening, too!).
