THE TREASURE WAS MADE IN MAN

I thought I had to go through special training, that I had to search for this truth in volume after volume of books, new age, witch craft, the Kabbalah, etc. I thought that I could gain wisdom from ancient writings or maybe Tarot cards and other forms of divination. All this brought, was more questions.

We make things to difficult in our lives; we think that because we can dream up all kinds of complex sciences and discover deeper levels of our biology and the cosmos around us, that we must have answers equally as complicated for the purpose and meaning of our lives. But that was the same thing That was wrong with the spiritual leaders living in the days of Jesus' life. While they pondered and speculated of when the Messiah would return, He was outside their temple revolutionizing the way people thought with his message of repentance and love! While these "great men of wisdom" were waiting for Heavenly signs and wonders, Jesus was raising the dead, healing the sick, and feeding the hungry.

I am now confident in the life that I have found through the Lord. Knowing him has empowered me and has given me insight into what real truth is as well as what real love is. If you are still one searching, I am hear to tell you that until you stop chasing after the holy grail, or the ark of the covenant, or some sacred place in the Arizona desert, where you think that you'll find enlightenment. You will not find anything but more questions and broken dreams.

Look towards the source of all light, truth and life, not into a crystal ball or a so-called "book of wisdom". There is only one book of wisdom and that is the Holy Bible, but if you don't give it the respect it is due, you will only see confusion there. I use to make light of the Bible, but now I see a well of knowledge and wisdom deeper than anyone could begin to measure within it's pages! In the book of Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12, it says this. "The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight."

The word according to the book of John, chapter 1, verse 1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." When I was running around searching for truth I was like a dog chasing my own tail, I was lost and I was living in this darkness spoken of here. Whenever I would look at the Bible back then, I couldn't make sense of it.

Now notice that John was writing about someone else, other than God, when he writes, "He was with God in the beginning." This is what Jesus said of himself, John 8:12 "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." And this is what Jesus said of all those people who ignore him and his words in John 3:18. "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed."

Let me put this in laymen's terms, your standing in the middle of the freeway and a Mack Truck is headed towards you, your friend is on the shoulder of the road because he sees the truck and he's screaming like a banshee trying to warn you. But you keep standing there because you refuse to believe that it's as simple as stepping off the road, in order to avoid the truck. In-fact, you won't even admit that there is a truck, so your condemned already aren't you? Because how do you solve a problem if you don't see that there is one?

Jesus is the light and if you admit that you're lost without him because you're living in the darkness of your sins, then you will be saved.

I will leave you with this final thought. In Genesis 1:3 you will read this; "And God said, 'let there be light,' And there was light." This was the first words that the Bible records God speaking. Those words was the beginning of our universe. A Word which God spoke that became Light, St John wrote that Jesus was with God in the beginning and Jesus told John in Revelation that He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Our science has proven three things that bear witness to these things we read in the Bible being truth.

Number one. The oldest written documents of the Old Testament which includes Genesis are the Dead Sea Scrolls, written in 3 B.C.

Number two. It is now a well known scientific fact that the universe began with a massive explosion. This explosion created so much light that we can still see this light in the distant universe today. So yes the first thing that happened at the dawn of our universe's creation was light entered the darkness just as the book of Genesis said it did. Can you really believe that mankind was smart enough to figure that out on his own in 3 B.C.?

Number three. Within the smallest possible part of all matter including humans is the atom. And within the nucleus of those atoms is LIGHT. So when you break it all down to a particle that cannot be broken down or divided any further you find LIGHT. And Jesus is the light of man, He is the Sun of our inner, spiritual universe just as the Sun is the center of our immediate, planetary universe. The planets cannot remain in rotation without the Sun and our Earth could not sustain life without the Sun.

God made our spiritual universe the same way. If we are not revolving everything we are around the SON of God, then we cannot sustain a real life either.
