TEENS FOR JESUS
This was Jessica DeRienzo when She was a 16 year old, in the tenth grade, and this is an essay she wrote for a class she attended in her high school. Like many teens, her hope was set on bringing God back into her school.
Jessica's Essay
My biggest inspiration in my life and my greatest love is my Savior Jesus Christ, I have committed my life to Jesus Christ, How about you? Love, joy, and peace in Jesus Christ is the substance that fills the void in my life.
Love- “Thou shalt love thy neighbors as thyself” Matthew 22:39, you need to love your friends, and your teachers est. as you love yourself.
Joy- Joy is when you are always praising the lord and thanking him and telling him how awesome he is. You also have cheerfulness in conversation with your friends.
Peace- peace with God, and your conscience or a peaceable ness of temper and behavior toward others.
I have never been so motivated in my life it was the best thing I could have ever done, it was my friends that go to church that really pushed me to recommit my life. They showed me that my life could be so much better. If it wasn’t for them showing me how much they care for me and always telling me that Jesus loves me too, I wouldn’t be were I am today if it wasn’t for them loving on me. I was scared at first but there is nothing to be scared about cause there is no such thing as fear when you walk in Jesus Christ.
To be committed to Jesus you have to put him first, nothing comes before him, not a boyfriend, basketball or even you closest friends, it isn’t ME ME ME it has to be HIM HIM HIM, he always will come first in my life.
You need to accept and invite God into your life, he has already accepted you when you were born, and sent his son to die for our sins. He is the best thing that could ever happen to someone. Just knowing that you’ll always have someone at your side, and that you can rely on leaves you feeling happy and special, everyone is a child of God, he is always with you, you can never hide anything from him.
Currently in my life I have love instead of hate, I have joy instead of sadness, and peace instead of conflict because of the grace of my Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus gives my life meaning and he can give your life meaning to if you just invite him into your life. So my question is will you invite him into your life?
