CHRISTIAN POETRY

IF YOU WRITE CHRISTIAN POETRY, THEN BOY OH BOY IS THIS THE PLACE TO PUT IT!

I love poetry and I know alot of others who do to. So as I write them or other people share them with me, I will place them here. If you have a poem that you would like to place here please send it to me by Email and providing it's written in a Christian theme, I'll place it in our website.

UNDERCOVER CHRISTIANS

Undercover Christians what are you hiding for? Are you afraid someone will laugh if they know you love the Lord? He said if you deny me, then I'll surly deny you. Oh undercover Christian what are you gonna do?

If we're the only Bible that some will ever read, how much knowledge of the Lord will they hear and see? Will they think of him as warrior, coward, or fake? When you are put to the test, what stand will you make?

Now I'm not trying to give you a something of hard time, but why even light the candle if you don't want it to shine? There are too many secret ballots between what's right and wrong.

It's time that we all stood up and let them know whose side we're on!

LESSONS

What have I learned from all that I've not. What have I given for all I have got?

What have I gained from all that I've lost? Waiting and worried that my heart might frost, Nothing undone can prove me it's cost.

If idle I stand by and watch the world spin, While toting my troubles on shoulder and chin, Frozen in fear, remorse and regret, I'd lose my chance to forgive me of debt.

What have I made of my loss and my woes? What would I trade to make enemies, foes?

What have I learned from my dreams that unraveled, Broken by queens who dismounted their saddles. What have I won from the fights that I fled? Waged upon causes, which my pride had fed.

If silence I choose to be on the day That I have a new chance to find a new way, And quiet I fall into a numb sleep, While dreaming of gardens which I did not reap. Yet all the while easy the answer and key, Was finding the hope and the warrior in me.

Then I'd lose the respect in myself, in my place, And never learn what could have happened with faith.

SING HIS PRAISES

Some where in the distance you can hear the angels sing. They sound like precious children As they praise our mighty king. And far below the heavens On an earth unclean and dark, The Holy Ghost has answered yet another lonely heart.

Some where in the distance, In a past some have forgot. The son of God had given So we would not be lost. Now a blinding light uplifts us Through the spirit of his word, So all his faithful children Would never go unheard.

His glory can redeem us, His sacrifice can bring us hope. His truth will always free us, His name is always Jesus.

Sing his praise oh angels! Sing his praise so high! The world is lost without him, Hear us as we cry!

Some where in the distance You can hear the angels sing. They sound like precious children As they praise our mighty king. And far below the heavens, On an earth unclean and dark. The Holy Ghost has answered yet another lonely heart.

FULL CIRCLE

Back to life for a little while, Return to reality?

Back to logic and border lines your eyes can search and see.

Reality?

Back to where you were, And before you found escape. The pavement borders, The neon lights, They adorn you as a cape.

Your forward reality. Back from the hut and well, The green and minty smell. Back from the ocean of trees, The playful whisper of breeze.

Back to reality?

Through His Eyes

People use to look at me with frightful eyes It wasn't me that they had seen But a devil in disguise. In my youth I searched for him the Lord above But as I grew I tasted death and lost my love. The grace of GOD resided in my innocence But the world had broke my heart and gave me arrogance. The day had come I finally fell upon my face, And when I turned to search within I met him face to face. I often think about that day in retrospect I wonder what I would have done if I were him.

I might have said: Where were you all these lonely years? You thought you hid your deeds from me, beyond the closet door But I was the walls that listened To you cry when you were four. I might have said: Son I was there, always a call away, But even when it got so bad you took a knife You wouldn't call upon my name to spare your life. I might have struck you down For the evil words you spoke Acting like a god and paying tribute to a goat!

But that’s why I'm not God It's why I'm on my knees. Cause God, I couldn't give what you had gave, And I couldn't wait like you would wait, And I could not lose what I dearly love For a world that loves to hate.

I know you knew that he'd return With the marks of his abuse, You have a love beyond what we can know, that let you turn him loose!

That’s why we can't be you Cause your greater than life can be, And only through the eyes of Christ Could we have the hope to see.

How you gave what you had gave, How you wait the way you wait And how you gave away the Son you loved For a world that loves to hate. .
